I am starting this list nearly two and a half years after my Dalmatian, Dulcie, was stolen. I have found that there are many many sites on the web for those who grieve for pets lost through death, and there is no form of support for those of us who are left worrying and wondering if our beloved pets are safe. I hope this list will grow, and that we can offer a shoulder to cry on, a place to vent. I know that for me, many people expect life to go on, and many are good hearted about it, wanting me to heal. They seem to think that because Dulcie is "just a dog" that I can adopt another (I have) but learn to accept her loss. I would hate to think that someone with a kidnapped human child is also expected to "heal" and to forget about that child.
