Did it make you tired?  I am so constipated, but I already had a problem with that and just so so tired.  I keep napping

and that is not me at all.  I just don't know how I will work tomorrow.  I tried not taking my ambien last night, but

woke up after 2 hours so I got up and took it.  I might have my husband cut one in  half tonight.

Debbie, When i first started cymbalta I was also on lyrica. I now take 80mgs with no problems at all.I have no pain now. I know it's scary starting a drug when you are on so many others but if it doesnt make you sick, stay with it for at least 1 month. If you still have pain in 1 week , It's not worth the wait.   Jan S.

I think you are right, but at the time I didn't think so.  I am already on so much
medicine.  I took the 20  mg of cymbalta last night with all my other med
cocktail.  That is the lowest dosage and I could not get out of bed this morn-
ing. I kept going back to sleep and when I got up I was very light headed.
I was going away today with some girlfriends for the weekend, but am  not
going to now.  I called his nurse and she said that is a side effect of
cymbalta, but to give it a few days and just rest and be careful.  Thank
you for posting.

My psychiatrist is finally starting me on cymbalta at the suggestion of
my neurologist, , but isn't cutting back the wellbutrin yet and it
really concerns me, but I am going back to see him in a week.

There has been some concern that some members
   may be seeking medical advice.

I would just like to remind everybody that
this group is not to get medical advice.
It is highly recomended that you do not make
any changes in your treatment, without the
notification and approval of your doctor.
If you choose to follow the advice of a fellow member,
without your doctors consent, you do it at your own risk.

This is going to be sent as a reminder automatically

HI Brian,

We never know if we can do something if we don't try.  So I am glad you are going to try to work, hey if you can't, at least you gave it a go !!! I keep trying to get better so I can, and I have almost done it a number of times, I'll never give up trying.  Life is making many tries and enjoying them along the way.   My Mom used to say this all the time to me  "Diane, a failure is someone who never tries, and someone who tries is never a failure."

Also other sayings right along this line, but this one fits for you today Brian.  :)

SUPER COOL Brian !

I sure hope this works out very well for you ! How will you do with your legs/feet pain?  Can you keep them up at all?

GOOD GOING ,but if it doesn't work out cause of the pain,,,,at least you tried, and there's A LOT to be said about trying when we reach the point of being able too, if we are.

I have been out of work for a year now due to my Neuropathy. But on September 29Th, I will be starting a seven week training program. Afterwords, they will try and place me for a call center job. They have contracters who help you find jobs. They only need me to type around 20-25 WPM, which at least right now I can do. I can not wait.

It is not actualy a job yet, it is just training. It is not for any particilar company either. First they train you, then with ther job finding skills, they try to find you a job. They say they have an 85% placement rate. I will know more how my hands will hold up during the training. But with a call center, you are interacting on the telephone, I believe would be less typing then a secretary or data entee position.
Has any of you worked for a call center, or know somebody. Maybe one of you would know more.

My legs are doing OK, as long as I do not overdue. I just can not take a job that is standing all day, or has heavy lifting. It is my Neuropathy and carpel tunnel in my hands that cause me the most concern on this opportunity.

My psychiatrist is finally starting me on cymbalta at the suggestion of
my neurologist,, but isn't cutting back the wellbutrin yet and it
really concerns me, but I am going back to see him in a week.

Hi
Thi is a quick stop by,..
Sorry not more then this right now mommy isnt able to sit nor walk and stuff really because of the terrible back and legpain she has but she wanted to show that we been to the hairdresser to have our face trimmed mostly , she has to get back there in about 6 to 8 weeks and we will then be trimmed more ,.. this was just enough for us to get used to being trimmed for the first time and mommy wanted us to be able to see properly again and not have them hairs in front of our eyes,..
It was a long standing on her feet for her and just long enough for us to get somewhat adjusted...
Lexi was restless during the washing and she did wonderful during the trimming of her head , she even allowed that her hair was cut with scisors ,..
I did well being washed and was a bit pissed when they started to cut my hair ,man did I get angry but Mommy wouldnt let go of me and I had to endure ,..
We came home being sooooooo tired of this first impression and in a number of weeks we have to get back , and train being washed ( we already are some ) and being dried with the blowdryer...

Paw from Macy and Lexi says hi too:))

First I went to a job counselor through Jewish Family Services. Then I went through a program called Vesid. It could be called different in other states. They paid for some computer training. This program is through the blind association. If you look around, you can find counseling where you live.

They have contracters who help you find jobs. They only need me to type around 20-25 WPM, which at least right now I can do. I can not wait.

TY Brian, it was the right thing to do though it did put me in more pain. Now on Monday (that was Saturday) the pain is back to it's normal level for the AM of a 2, and at night back to it's usual level of a 7 or 8.

HI All,

Hope the day goes well.

I hardly ever say this, but the PAIN !  UGH ! I know so many of us feel this and unendingly for many of us.  Last night was just so bad.  It's now almost 7AM and I didn't sleep a wink.  I had done to much yesterday.  I had even doubled up on the lyrica and trileptal, which will make me short in the long run on the meds.

I am SURE many of us, just don't say "No" when we are needed by others, be it a spouse, a child, a friend etc.  For me yesterday though my foot is in an aircast I drove a friend to the ER to be attended on for a bad burn on her hand.  I COULD of asked another friend to Please help her, but that friend was tired.  So I being the one I am, drove her and had to wait in the ER for hrs while she did, and then was waited on.  UGH ! Notice I said I am in an aircast for a bad infection to my foot myself.  Just WHY is it we do these things at our own cost and added pain?  I know some of you will say "we are care givers" and yes, we are.  Generally I don't put myself out like this, and will say "I can't, I am in to much pain".  But not yesterday.  UGH !

TY for listening.  Just needed to cry cause inside, I am surely am.

TY Diane L.

PS: for any of you who may be affected by hurricane Gustav, please take shelter and care. Our prayers are very much with you ! I hope you have enough meds and plans to take care during this very horrible experience and life alterning event.  While I am glad I am so far up in the US, I do know many are not.

HI Carroll,

I didn't say how the friend I took in had on her hand a large bandage wrappings. Another friend came along for the fun of it who has MS and uses the hand crutches, and me following them in the door, with my aircast on.  Hehehehe the Dr's were all wondering "Which one of them needs to be seen? I HOPE not all 3 !!"

LOLOL well that was worth the giggles !

So sorry Carroll , about your daughter, cause the mirgraines are a horrible thing to go thru.  I hope she is better?  Also that your in this pain.

Diane,
Many times I've driven my oldest daughter to the ER with her migraines. Now I know on a realistic level that she is very ill and in very much pain, but I've had pretty intense headaches myself going on as I take care of her.  My PN will have flared to the max many of these times.

I've wanted to reach over and flip her off the ER bed and climb up there myself.
