The original reason for the neurontin is for the Peripheral Neuropathy which my doctor said I had significant nerve damage in the lower extremities. I hope this helps

What was the Neurotin prescribed for originally? Just curious. We are doing a study on some medications. Can you see your doctor about your worries, some may be due to side-effects of the medication or require further investigation. Goodluck to you.

I wanted to update and also ask a question. First the update.
Still taking 300 mgs of neurontin 4 times a day. I am getting braces
for both legs and ankles. I have a high arch and it is causing
problems (heel spurs) Anyway, I feel a great weakness in both legs
from the knees down and the pain in the ankles is strange. I
sometimes want to go walking but I hesitate because of the weakness
in those feet. I also experience tiredness in arms , hands. Is this
the way it happens with someone else here? I know that Our Father in
Heaven is in control. This helps me a great deal. Strange disease ,
this Peripheral Neuropathy. Love, Eileen
