My neuropathy is in my right leg and I have been experiencing swelling in my left ankle recently.  My neurologist said I should see my internist about it……I hate when they do that – doctors don’t want to be responsible for anything but their little niche.

Anyway, now that the heat wave has ended here in New York, the swelling has disappeared so I think it was heat related.  I can’t explain, however, why it didn’t effect my right ankle the same way – unless the neuropathy somehow prevented it.

I also noticed that during this same period, my urine output decreased considerably.  I guess when it gets hot out, your body holds onto the moisture – accounting for the lack of urine and the swelling.
