Hi to all,
I'm new here and not sure if this is the place I belong. I have been suffering severe sore throat for the last 2 years and NONE of the doctors I have been to seem to have a CLUE as to what my problem is. My GI doc thought it was GERD for years until he ran some very extensive tests and they came up negative. I went to an oncologist to see if I had throat cancer(I'm an x-smoker), and he insured me that it was NOT cancer. I went to an allergist, ran lots of expensive tests but no allergies making it hurt. I have finally gone to a chiropracter to stay in check w/my scoliosis in my back. I told him of the constant/chronic pain and he had me do an MRI. They found bulges in my throat and he said it looks like a pinched nerve. I go to him for adjustments about twice a week. This has seemed to help some. In fact, I was pain free for about 2 months recently. However, the pain is back. NOT to the degree it was 1 year ago, but there is still some pain. I have recently gotten off my acid reflux meds to see if it makes a difference. I just really don't know what is wrong w/my throat but I am thinking I may have some nerve damage in there. That has also been the final conclusion of my GI doctor. So, any help w/this issue would be GREATLY appreciated. As you can see, I AM TOTALLY DAZED & CONFUSED!!!!
Thanks for all your input,
