I am presently taking gabapentin 300 mg 4X daily. It
gives me a headache and by what I understand the
absorbing rate isn't 100%, more like 50%. I can't
raise the dosage of gabapentin because it causes
shortness of breath, and causes confusion and the
mother of all headaches. I am going to switch to
Lyrica. I understand that the absorbing rate on that
is actually 90%, and can be quite successful. I am
going to try it and will let you all know how it turns
out. I have peripheral neuropathy after 31 years of
diabetes, type 1.
