Kitty:
I have had diabetes 31 years. I am presently 37 years
of age. I started taking Neurontin (gabapentin) 100mg
twice a day after beginning stages of sever pain in my
feet and legs the last year and one half. I now take
300mg 3X daily. I find the side affects can be
bothersome in the beginning, and when increased too
high, they become worse. I try to keep the Neurontin
at a minimum dosage that also helps me. I'm more into
not having to increase it than having to increase the
medication. Just how I work... I'd rather not take it
at all, but it actually saves my life. I also take a
12 hour pain medication on occassion that makes me
feel like superman and I feel NO pain. I only use
that medication (don't have the name of that on hand
at the moment) when I the pain is overly bothersome.
I tend to get headaches on occasion from the
Neurontin, but for the most part, I would be miserable
without it. I like Neurontin.
