Hi Audry! I would highly recommend you see your regular doctor, and if she thinks a nuerologist could help, she or he would refer you to them. Its important that you find out as much as possible about your condition. If anything else, get a hold of your medical records and see what they say, at least you will be more informed and maybe there is something they are not mentioning to you. Trust me, my doctor doesn't volunteer any information . It seems we must be needing to educate ourselves the best way we can on some things. My husband made a comment the other day about my doctor. He said that she might not understand how to treat my condition. Thats possible. I just know Audrey, don't give up on going to the doctors, till you have got to the bottom of things. There has to be someone out there that is educated enough in the medical field to help you. We hope anyway. Eileen

I have had PN for the past two years. After a summer of testings
and finding out NO CAUSE, I did find out what I didn't have.
I'm currently taking 1800 mg Neurontin. Most of my problems have to
do with me feet. They become really uncomfortable when enclosed in
shoes of any type. So basically, when home, I'm barefooted. Seems
like enclosed in shoes makes the bottoms of my feet extremely warm.
As you well know, most miserable times are at night or when you wake
up in the mornings. Thank goodness, I sleep well at night most of
the time.
I am experiencing additional symptoms which I'm not sure what is
causing them. Leg sensations of sticking, stingint, itching, etc..
at times. Also, bladder urges sometimes with mere trickling, a few
times even seepage.
I'm hesitant to go to regular Dr. or the neurologist?????
Any thoughts on this???
I also take Fosamax which now has me in the osteopenia chart.
That's a plus.
Audrey
