Hello Ruth,
Thank you for welcoming me.
I hope to read and post often also. I need the contact with people who really understand. As you know after 15 years a lot of people really don't. We look fine, right? But underneath the pain is always present.
Maybe you misunderstood? I don't know the cause of my PN. The biopsy just confirmed it. I also have RSD from the surgery.
I'm 41, married and live in Texas. We moved here 2 years ago from Massachusetts after getting married. We're best friends and I am so lucky to have such a great person in my life. Otherwise, it's been a nightmare.
I can no longer work but I manage to keep life as normal as possible. I get up every day with a good outlook and make the best of whatever comes my way. My pain can be severe. The medication helps some. The trouble is I keep getting used to the dose and either have to increase or make a change. It's frightening. My fear is that eventually nothing will help me. How have you managed all these years?
I look forward to talking with you more.
Hugs to you also...

Toni,
Welcome to the group, sorry to hear why but glad you're here.
My name is Ruth, I've only been here a little while myself, and most of
the time very quiet. But today that has changed I intend to post everyday.
I've had pn for several years 15 to be exact. My cause is unknown, and
doctors
have told me there is no way of knowing the cause, unless like yours they
knew.
Please tell us more about yourself, and what fills your days.
Hugs from fellow PNer
Ruth
