This sounds almost how my experience started. I went
to the Podiatrist and all he wanted to do is prescribe
inserts for my shoes. I tried them and it seemed to
get worse, in fact they made me off balance. I tried
my chiropractor and he said the same thing. I needed
orthodics. He was able to get softer ones made for me
but they didn't help either. The pain persisted. I
went to a pain management clinic and they ran some
tests to see if there was some nerve damage an EMG? he
didn't use the needles just the electrical shocks
through the legs and feet. He said the test came out
normal. Then I was finally diagnose with Diabetes
after about 4 years of going through this pain without
knowing what it was. My diabetes nurse said this is
very common and I should have probably been diagnosed
with Diabetes a long time ago because my numbers were
borderline during those years. Why didn't the doctors
say anything then???
Please have your doctor take a closer look at your
Blood Glucose numbers or get a BG meter and start
looging your BG reading regularly for a couple of
months AM, Noon, and PM. Show these reading to your
doctor and see what he/she says.
Good luck and I hope you catch it early enough.
