Paula, You have the right idea. Learn as much as you can. I recommend
Neuropathy.org for starts.
Three good books -- Numb Toes series. They are listed by author and
title in the above site. I have a memory lapse. The books were very
helpful to me as well as the website.
We are all different in the causes and remedies. What helps me may
not work for you and vice versa. I can tell you that conventional
pain meds do not do a lot for most of us in relieving our pain.
I am on Neurontin and up to 1800 mg a day taking 1200 at bedime and
the remaining 600 divided between breakfast and lunch. I also use
Lidoderm patches. THey are my lifesaver.
Check out the site and then we'll see if we can help you more.
