Re:Need Help

Debbi,

what strength Neurontin and how many times a day are you taking?

I am on 600 mg -- one tablet four times a day.  It seems to be really helping me. I can tell when I don't take it.  That is one med I try hard not to run out if.

Also, if your insurance will pay for them, try the Lidoderm patches. They are pricey, but they really saved my life.  You can get a Lidocaine/Prilocaine cream that also helps some.

I use Watkins Peppermint foot rub also and Capsaicin cream in the rub on dispenser.

The Capsaicin is a red pepper derivative and will sting your face and eyes if you get it on your hands. Doesn't wash off the best.  I use the roll on dispenser due to that, or disposable gloves. Roll or rub it on the area that is inflamed with the neuropathy.  It does work but it takes a bit of time.

Just some suggestions to try.  I know what you are saying. I was in your position just three years ago.

Carrol
