My neurologist just told me I would qualify, but he said it doesn’t pay much. And how do you live while you fight the system? I know that hiring a lawyer that handles disability cases is the way to go, but how do you pay the lawyer when you can’t afford to live? Do you get a settlement at the end for the retroactive funds that you can tap for this?

I am inI havent needed to apply for disability yet, but I expect to down the road. Please keep the group informed so I can follow your progress. Previous advice that was given in this form included: to expect to be turned down twice and then having to contact an experienced SS disability law firm and then you will finally get your disability. Of course, how you are expected to survive financially until then is unknown. Salisbury ,MD.
