RE: [Peripheral_Neuropathy] file for disability

hi dorothy,  the amount it pays has to due with how much you contributed to ssi throughout your lifetime,  please check it out. it may be more than you think. also most law firms that do this take their fee out until after you are approved.  and yes you do get backpay.  also they do not get paid until you are approved. please check out law groups on internet and make a few calls.  it will be truly worth your time.

I know that hiring a lawyer that handles disability cases is the way to go, but how do you pay the lawyer when you can’t afford to live?  Do you get a settlement at the end for the retroactive funds that you can tap for this?

I am in Salisbury, MD.  I havent needed to apply for disability yet, but I expect to down the road.  Please keep the group informed so I can follow your progress.  Previous advice that was given in this form included: to expect to be turned down twice and then having to contact an experienced SS disability law firm and then you will finally get your disability.  Of course, how you are expected to survive financially until then is unknown.
