Description

"ALL SOLICITATION WILL BE BANNED." This support group began in 1998 and is for anyone who suffers from(Premature Ventricular Contractions.)Webster Dictionary-(arrhythmia ar·rhyth·mia Pronunciation:Function: noun Etymology: New Latin, from Greek, lack of rhythm, from arrhythmos unrhythmical,: an alteration in rhythm of the heartbeat either in time or force.) This occurs when the heart produces an extra beat,(not skipping a beat), thus giving a fluttering sensation or a feeling of skipped beats. They can be frightening. Typically your cardiologist will run a series of tests which determine the exact nature of your PVC's. Most often they are a benign annoyance. The goal of this support group is to maintain a stress free environment to communicate, offer advice and successful tip's to minimize them, thus freeing ourselves from focusing on them.
There are certain elements that seem to trigger PVC's, and should be avoided, such as stress, anxiety, caffeine or other stimulants, i.e. Ephedra or other diet stimulant's. Disclaimer: THIS GROUP SHOULD IN NO WAY SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ATTENTION. No liability, medical or otherwise, will be assumed by the group or list originator. Seeking sound medical advice, in combination with the support, is very important. Sharing information about certain vitamin's and nutrient's that one has found to help minimize their PVC's is fine, however I ask that you do not push a particular brand, company or "New Age" information. Sound, holistic info, backed up with online reference material is welcome. We ask that you take the attitude of being able to "agree to disagree" without any flaming behavior as there are many opinions, suggestions etc., as is the case in any support group. Upon joining, please introduce yourself with a brief testimony about how PVC's have affected you.

I can't have hardly any sugar at all. Shortly after having sweets my heart races terribly and then skips on top of it all. It's worth reducing my sugar

... I can certainly understand how caffine, cigaretts, alcohol and some cold meds are PVC triggers, because of being stimulants, but I have not heard that
