This occurs when the heart produces an extra beat,(not skipping a beat), thus giving a fluttering sensation or a feeling of skipped beats. They can be frightening. Typically your cardiologist will run a series of tests which determine the exact nature of your PVC's. Most often they are a benign annoyance. The goal of this support group is to maintain a stress free environment to communicate, offer advice and successful tip's to minimize them, thus freeing ourselves from focusing on them.
There are certain elements that seem to trigger PVC's, and should be avoided, such as stress, anxiety, caffeine or other stimulants, i.e. Ephedra or other diet stimulant's.
