Description

"THIS IS A HEART HEALTH GROUP/ALL SOLICITATION IS PROHIBITED!" When requesting membership (adequately describe why you want to join the group) or membership is automatically rejected.

Started in 1998, the group is for anyone who suffers from (Premature Ventricular Contraction's or any other type of heart arrhythmia.) Take a deep breath and relax. Here you’ll learn you’re NOT alone & that life with PVC's doesn’t have to be scary.

Causes
By Mayo Clinic staff (see related link below)
Your heart is made up of four chambers — two upper chambers (atria) and two lower chambers (ventricles). The rhythm of your heart is normally controlled by the sinoatrial node (SA node) — or sinus node — an area of specialized cells located in the right atrium. This natural pacemaker produces the electrical impulses that trigger the normal heartbeat. From the sinus node, electrical impulses travel across the atria to the ventricles, causing them to contract & pump blood out to your lungs & body.

Premature ventricular contractions are abnormal contractions that begin in the ventricles. These extra contractions usually beat sooner than the next regular heartbeat (thus producing the “flutter” felt). They often interrupt the normal order of pumping, which is atria first then ventricles. As a result, the extra, out-of-sync beats are usually less effective in pumping blood throughout the body. (Per Mayo Clinic weblink)

Seeking a proper medical diagnosis from a medical professional is extremely important. This group should in no way substitute for solid medical advice.

Once you've learned about your specific PVC's, you’ll learn how to identify triggers and how to avoid them, (especially caffeine or other stimulants.) Healthy dietary changes, regular exercise (per your doctor's advice) & consistent, positive stress management will improve your PVC's

The group founder, nor members, assume NO liability medically or otherwise. Enter at your own risk.
