Re: [ParishNurse] AED Programs in Parishes

The American Heart Assoc. Is an excellent resource for information and programs.
Please make sure you have your policy manual up to date for AED. Insurance and
ect. Blessings, Theresa

Susan Infeld <svinfeld@...> wrote: Hi all,

We are purchasing an AED for our parish. The diocese is taking care of the
training and monitoring which is a great help. I will arrange recruiting and
coordinate training.I am also looking for ideas on how to incorporate about a 6
wk "heart health" education program around this "event".

I am attending Parish Nurse training beginning in mid March in Winchester. We
currently do not have this position in our church but our pastor is all for it.
This program will be the first thing parishioners experience in what a parish
nurse does and the commitment of our pastor to taking care of not just the soul,
but the body too.

Any thoughts/ideas/experiences on starting an AED program would be greatly
appreciated!

Sincerely,
Susan Infeld, RN, BSN
