We have done both at our church. The congregation really accepted it. We got
Pedometers at a discount from our U of I extension Service. They are available
at a lot of places. I will look to see what I can find. I am Parish Nurse at a
Lutheran Church Near Peoria. We have a Parish nurse group that meets in Peoria
about 4 times a year. We do some educational programs and always have either
lunch or brunch together so it is a good opportunity to network. I don't know
where in East Central Illinois you are but if you aren't too far we would love
to have you. Let me know.

Hi,
I am a year old parish nurse in East Central IL. Our
church has a grade school & about 1500 members. I'm
very enthusiastic about this program. I took early
retirement from the health department & can't think of
any better way to end my nursing career than doing
this.
We just formed a Health & Wellness Committee & our
project for this year is to do one of the walks. I
think we'll definitely do the Walk to Bethlehem, but
the committee is talking about doing another, maybe
during the summer -- possibly on Paul's travels.
I've already gotten the devotional on W to Jerusalem
from Janet & some info on Paul's travels, but if
anyone
knows of anything else, let me know. Joycie
