Canadian Association for Parish Nursing Ministry (CAPNM) is looking for
support from across Canada. This work first began in 1998 when a movement
to foster the development of Parish Nursing Ministry in Canada was born. The
efforts of those first visionaries continue today through CAPNM.
A membership campaign is underway to encourage individuals and
organizations to assist CAPNM in doing its work. We encourage parish nurses
and other interested nurses across Canada to become members, as well as any
others who share the vision of building health and healing communities
through Parish Nursing Ministry.
Parish nurses from across the country are working to establish national
standards and education guidelines for this growing ministry and to share
and grow through dialogue and continuing education. As Parish Nursing
Ministry evolves, we hope to enable congregations to provide the environment
in which healing can occur.
We want to share our excitement about the possibilities of Parish
Nursing Ministry and to invite others to become members of CAPNM and help
shape the future of Parish Nursing Ministry in Canada through:
• Voting Privileges at the Annual General Meeting
• Development of standards for education and practice
• Access to CAPNM resources
• Networking contacts
• CAPNM’s newsletter
To become a member of CAPNM, contact:

Membership Chair
It is only when we can believe that we are creating the soul that life has
any meaning, but when we can believe it -- and I do and always have -- then
there is nothing we do that is without meaning and nothing that we suffer
that does not hold the seed of creation in it. --- May Sarton
