As you know, Prematurity Awareness Day is coming soon, and activities are planned all over the country to bring to light the problem of premature birth. We urge you to contact your local chapter if you want to be involved in these events.

Coinciding with Prematurity Awareness Day this year, we are holding our first ShareUnion in New York, and we want to invite you to join us. In the one-plus year since Share Your Story has been in existence, we have come to know each other, encourage each other, cry with each other, rejoice together and care about each other and our children. Now we have the opportunity to gather in person, put faces to names and celebrate the community WE have created. Please join us for ShareUnion 2005 and participate in our activities for Prematurity Awareness Day.

Have you ever wondered where you fit into this wonderful organization? At 9 AM on Monday, November 14 we will be meet in White Plains, N.Y., at the National Office of the March of Dimes for an overview of the foundation and our role in it. Our day ends with a ShareUnion reception at 6 PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains followed by a Remembrance Ceremony at 7 PM.

Early Tuesday, November 15, we will head to New York City for a full day of Prematurity Awareness Day events.

The March of Dimes will cover transportation from the Crowne Plaza to and around New York City on Tuesday. There is no cost to participate in the reception, media events or rally! Transportation to New York and hotel costs will be up to you, but the March of Dimes has negotiated a discount price for Share Your Story members at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. This is going to be a power-packed two days and the more Share Your Story members we have the merrier! This is our chance to help spread the March of Dimes mission and awareness about premature birth. Don't worry about what to wear, dress casually in Pink & Blue or check out these great ShareUnion and Prematurity Awareness Day T-shirts.
