Laurie,
Thanks for telling us about Sean. WOW... 23 weeks?? He is one tough little customer!
My Julia turns 3 on November 5, and starts school two days after that, and I am telling you, I am SO scared. She is supposed to go four full days and one half day a week. I am really lost about the IEP, I don't know if I should sign it or take it to a lawyer to decode it first!
That is TERRIFIC about Sean walking and talking. You guys must be ecstatic! Julia still isn't verbal, she makes approximations, but not consistently. But she has a bilateral PVL, and has a lot of motor issues, which just get in the way. She just had her first round of botox injections and is doing wonderfully. She also has excelled with the help of wonderful EI personnel. They are more like family than therapists.
Feel free to post some pictures of Sean in the photo section.

My son Sean was born at SEMC at 23 6/7 weeks. He spent 106 days in the
NICU. It definetly was a rollercoaster ride for us,but thankfully Sean is
now four and doing great. It took him quite a while to catch up but he is
doing well. Sean didnt walk or talk until he was three years old. I dont
know what we would have done without E.I. they were excellent and always
there for us. Sean is now in a preschool setting since E.I. finished up on
his 3rd birthday.
