PVA-L is an Email Discussion List for Professional Veterinary Acupuncturists. Admission is by invitation only. Please pass the word to qualified colleagues. When we interact in numbers, we increase in professional skill and knowledge and in international influence.

Membership has two categories:

(a) FULL MEMBERSHIP is confined to State-Licensed Vets experienced in vet AP. Applicants must be:
Certified by IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, ), or
Certified by the Secretary of their National Veterinary Acupuncture Society, or
Have at least 5 years experience of veterinary acupuncture, and use it routinely.

(b) ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is confined to:
Tenured Academics (research scientists, teachers or academic staff at Third Level Institutions (including TCM Schools or AP Colleges), experienced in animal AP, or
Retired Vets, proposed by three Full PVA-L Members as having experience of use to PVA-L, or
Senior Vet Students, who may NOT use this gift to support illegal claims to competence to practise Vet Med, of which acupuncture is just a small part.

Student applicants must be at least in 4th year of Vet School and know at least basic AP, and
(a) have sponsorship from bona-fide AP Teachers, recognised by IVAS, or by their National Vet AP Peers, or
(b) be at least in 4th year of Vet School AND have passed 2 or more years of a Human AP Course recognised by IVAS, or their National Vet AP Peers, or their National Medical AP Society.
