POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER MILITARY
This group is LIMITED to active military and veterans, men and women (combat and military support staff) who are dealing with PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Close Family are welcome out of courtesy to "learn" about PTSD, but we don't work on the spouse issues here, just the Vet's issues. For Vets who need support, information, help and a connection with others dealing with or who have dealt with the same.
AN INTRO LETTER IS REQUIRED FOR MEMBERSHIP...you will get it upon joining, just hit reply, fill out, hit send.
Know that you are not alone, there are thousands of you out there, you just need to connect. Hopefully this group will be one of those places connections.
This group was created in the memory of Joshua Lee Omvig by his family. If he'd had an outlet like this, we believe he would still be with us.
Josh was an American Hero. He served in Iraq for 11 months and took his own life after his return on December 22, 2005. Josh suffered for more than a year with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In his final letter, he told his family the "faces and voices" just wouldn't go away. Josh was an MP.
If we can make a difference in ONE life, Josh's death will not have been in vain.
