On Monday, November 19th from 5-6 pm, a special and important program
for
parents will be sponsored by the Greene County Community Learning
Center.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Internet resources will be showcased
so
parents can become more familiar with the variety of websites their
children may be frequenting. Dena Irwin a teacher at Shakamak and
Linton
has developed a program to help parents better understand My Space, U
Tube,
Facebook, Instant Messaging and other websites popular with elementary
and
high school students. Parents will learn about the potential for harmful
activities as well as those sites that are true educational resources
for
their children. Stay in touch and in tune with those most important to
you. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of White River Valley
High
School, the program is free but advanced registration is required, call
to
register 659-3862.
