WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Learning Page salutes the contributions of women to U.S. history and culture. In 1980, President Carter issued a presidential proclamation urging Americans to recognize the contributions of women. By 1987, enough momentum had gathered that Congress declared March as National Women's History Month. This year's theme is "Women: Builders of Communities and Dreams."
Sally Ride
Our sister website Reading A-Z offers these books in honor of Women's History Month.

Riding with Rosa Parks
Sally Ride
Amelia Earhart: A Legend in Flight
Bessie Coleman
Meeting Mrs. Pierce
