I am attending a meeting at the school tomorrow morning to go through the ISTAR on David as a supplemental assessment.  He will participate in ISTEP when he is in a grade level that is tested, and is participating for the second time in Nortwest testing this week at Linton.  He was also tested with the Northwest test last Spring.  If you are interrested in seeing what the ISTAR assessment looks like here is the  link to the actual forms.  Lots of information on how you rate a child as demontrating a skill or not, and by grade level.
