a chance to help the state of bodywork TODAY!!!
Sorry for the last min notice on this, I tried to get people through
other channels than Pangaea. However, I don't feel we have enough
people to effect change…
Tonight at 6pm in Springfield, there will be a meeting to enhance
massage therapy training in the state of Mass. The event involves a
free dinner, open floor discussion, and a chance to view the curriculum
of Branford Hall's massage therapy program. Also, you can check out
some really fun books geared towards massage and bodywork. In addition
all participants will receive a gift certificate for a free massage.
Don't call or email: just show up at 5:45

shamanism, meditation, and more! Our trainings are ideal for both
beginners just starting-out and also are excellent continuing ed for
the professional looking to deepen their body of knowledge. So come
enjoy some tea or wine and snacks, peruse our sweet lending library,
and check us out! Here's the details...
When: Sunday July 13th, 6 pm

Hope to see you there!
Peas,
Stephen
We are having an Open House & Tea Party, this Sunday
July 13th at the new PANGAEA!
Come check out the new space, the library, and hang out! Newbie's,
oldies, and wiggle worms welcome. We'll have wine, snacks, and of course, tea.
Stephen will be there to answer any questions about the new Healing Arts Immersion
– this fall! This is your chance to sign up early and get a super deal!
So come, bring your friends and tell people – you know the
people I'm talking about the healers, the dreamers, the free thinkers – folks
who would find a home at Pangaea.
It sure would be great to see you all (again!) Pssst! It starts at 6pm.
Howdy,
Stephen here. Just looking for the laptop which was at Pangaea. Has
anyone seen it? Did someone borrow it? Did you tell me? Did I zone
out? Did it sprout wings or legs? Technology is crazy these days, I
might have missed the memo on that. But I could have sworn that was
impossible.
Yeah, our laptop disappeared. Which is a bit of a bummer and setback
to the multimedia portion of the library. So, if you know anything
about it, let me know. But, I doubt you do.
I am really writing to say that if you have a computer, that works,
and would like to donate to the library we are looking for these types
of things. we are also looking for personal cd players, a PowerPoint
projector (AKA video projector), and as always, a helping hand.
Just a reminder that the library is now open on Mondays from 1 – 4pm.
Which is a great resource to students, practitioners, and even
students from other schools like say, massage school, or acupuncture
school, or herb school. So bring your friends, all are welcome at Pangaea.
The library, is kind of an awesome project that hasn't really been
done before. What is it? well, its full of books, not just lame books
vaguely about healing, but really awesome books – some are very hard
to find, some are rather detailed, some are very expensive, most are
very helpful to body workers, healers, and armchair enthusiasts – and
some are just silly little things that have little or no business
being there but I haven't had the heart to toss them… So come, have a
cup of tea on me, and read a book! It might just save your life!
Peas,
Stephen
Howdy Folks,
Just an update to let you know, the phone number to contact Pangaea is
241-7347. So all questions, comments, and other reasons to call
Pangaea should be directed to that number. Jade and I just get too
many calls at home about work, so in an effort to save the sanctity of
our home, please call the Pangaea number for Pangaea business.
Happy happy nice weather!
Stephen
Hello beautiful people. My name is Dianna and I will be creating your
new student ID/library cards for Pangaea. Heres what I need from you.
Your full name
Your date of birth
and a small jpeg, or gif picture of you
Please email me this info at the following email addy:
saturnreturnsnow@...
If you do not have a picture of yourself..give pangaea a call and
maybe we can meet up and use my camera phone or the digital camera at
pangaea.
Namaste
Dianna
Howdy Folks,
>>>Seemore here for a special bones report. I just wanted to say, the
library is up and running! So come on by this Monday, or any Monday
from now until the end of time, from 1 – 4pm to check out our books!
Actually, book check outs aren't quite ready yet, but you can come,
have tea on me, and read, take notes, and just hang with your friends
at Pangaea!
{ ALSO } SUMMER PROGRAM
The summer program needs one more student in order to make it work! So
please send someone our way! We're talkin' reflexology, reiki,

Howdy Folks!
Seemore Bones here, for another bones report!
AFH 101 pm
Yeppers, its Summer. Well, it aint summer, its still spring, but it
might as well be summer, the weathers nice, heck its hot! I waited all
winter for the chill in my bones (that's all I got) to go away, and
now… its gone! Heehaw!
Its warm! I want to dance! And sing! And play in the sun! I want to
travel the globe and join a coalition! I want to wear a bikini and put
on sun lotion… oh wait… um… I mean…
I mean, I want to go to class! This Tuesday!
Tuesday Evening we will reconvene the "Anatomy for the Healer: A4H
101" pm class. We took a little break in there, due to scheduling
mishaps and Jade's departure for Californ-i-a. But its time to get our
ASIS(es) back to class! So to rock things of we will be having our
"Simi-Annual (first time ever) don't blast off to never never land
Pizza Party! (SADBOTNNLPP)"
So we'll see you in class Tuesday Evening for Pop, Pizza, and the
muscular system.
Not enrolled in the Tuesday evening class, yet? There is no time like
the present to join. Come on in this Tuesday, no RSVP necessary, and
we'll take care of the enrolement over pizza. A4H 101 is a part of a
year long training in eastern, western, and energetic anatomy. More

NEW LOCATION
As you probably know, we got the space! We have a new space in
Florence, MA. It is big, bright, and totally swank! Or it will be once
it's painted, fixed up, and we are moved in! You can help! We have the
plans, the supplies are being researched and purchased ASAP, and we
need hands to help. So if you would like to volunteer, this is your
opportunity to help Pangaea take this necessary step forward.
Rescheduled classes:
Yep, we rescheduled some classes. Not a move we like to make, but its
better than canceling. So next month there will be one more workshop,
and we will be meeting TOMORROW (Sunday) and NEXT SUNDAY as well.
All other workshops and classes are As Scheduled. There is a nasty
rumor going around that workshops are every-other-weekend. While this
is often the case, it is not always so. There are at least one
workshop per month, two most months, and if and when a workshop is
moved, it will be placed in the following month (when ever possible)
this doe not change the rest of the schedule. Please download your own
copy of the schedule. It has not changed since it was published. It is
the most accurate and reliable way of knowing when class is. Teachers
and fellow students can make misstatements about the next class date,
but the schedule does not lye.
Speaking of that: My apologies for the Muscle Workshop
As you know, the muscle workshop had to be moved. It will be moved to
MAY. Next month, if there is a weekend you would prefer the muscle
class NOT to fall on, let us know ASAP. Otherwise it will be scheduled
at Stephen's convenience.
Apprentices Needed
Diggin' the program? Want it to be even more fun and exciting? We'll
lets get the word out! Students can start the Healing Arts
Apprenticeship at any time! The best time for them to start, is now!
We are looking for 3 – 5 new students who wish to develop their skills
as a bodyworker, who are looking to expand their horizons with the
theory and advanced technique that is only available here, if you know
someone who wants to learn reflexology, medical massage, hydrotherapy,
aromatherapy, or integrative Taoist and Ayurvedic theory, bring them
to class. Their first Tuesday evening is free, or they can drop in for
a short segment of a workshop. Consider yourself and your friends invited!
Summer Immersion
We are doing a summer immersion version, (say that nine times fast
"immersion version, immersion version…" of the program this summer. It
is a 12 week program, which meets 3 days a week, 5 hours a day. If you
know someone interested in the program but can't make the year
commitment, this might be for them!
The Immersion also includes, get this, guest lecturers, Biodynamic
Cranio-Sacral and 5-element acupressure! Apprentices can sign up for
these extras at no additional charge!
Bodywork BODYWORK BODYWORK!
Apprentices get 2 free sessions a month with Stephen. Schedule yours

Well, I do reckon that about RAPs it up!
Hey everybody!
So just wanted to give a reminder about the upcoming class I'll be
teaching: "Herbs for the Spirit, Heart, and Mind"
Wednesday Feb 6, 7- 8:30 at my home in Northampton. Class is open to
all, with a suggested donation of $5-$15 (free to pangaea apprentices)
for those who feel compelled!
The "spirit" or "shen" has long been regarded as the connection
between the heart and mind...and we can work with spiritual and
heart-strengthening herbs in our lives to strengthen this connection.
We'll play with roses and cardamom, discuss the use of certain
essential oils and herbs, and cover some categories of herbs that
relate to this broad and important subject!
Call 413-585-0692 for directions and to register
Hope to see you there!
Peace,
Jade
Howdy Y'all
Classes will be held at our home until further notice. All classes are
as scheduled, times and dates have not changed. Call for directions.

Admin report:
I went through and changed people's settings. A lot of people where on
`individual emails' which in my experience is quite annoying to
receive all those emails. So, if I made this correction in error,
please feel free to change your settings back or email me to change
them back. Otherwise, if you where receiving tons of annoying emails
form the group… they should calm down now.

Yep, its true. Just go to www.pinh.organd
check it out! There are also some exciting changes to the
apprenticeshipand some amazing new classes as well. You can download
the new class catalogand check out all the new classes in there.
… and now a message from Stephen…
Ok,
I made some significant changes to the schedule and someof the
programs. I have added some really important classes that I hope
youwill all take advantage of.
Quarters
The
school year is now divided into quarters. Within thesequarters can be
seen an obvious and predictable pattern. For instance Anatomyworkshops
always acure on the same weekend of each month within each quarter. This
will help you to plan and prepair for classes more easily.
The Anatomy for the Healer
I
have re-evaluated this program and have decided to add aweekly
component. I have re-organized the series with this weekly component
inmind. Unlike the Exploring Reiki series which people sort of drop in
from timeto time… Attendance is expected for all classes within the
series forapprentices and others taking the series. Of course if your
sick, dying, orabducted by aliens for the evening… well just call and
let me know you'll beabsent and get the notes from a fellow student.
Clinical Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy
is the use of water in its three forms solid, liquid, and vapor to
elicit healing. I have taught hydrotherapy in massageschools for a
number of years and have added it to the curriculum at Pangaeabecause
it is highly effective as a form of treatment and is complimentary
tomost other forms of therapy.
Clinical Aromatherapy
Many
people have been asking me to teach some workshops onaromatherapy. So,
I have put together quite the program. Aromatherapy studentsare
expected to take the hydrotherapy and anatomy for the healer's series
asthose components are necessary for the student to fully
comprehendaromatherapy.
I have divided the
apprenticeship into several differentpaths for those who may be
interested in some subjects but not others. Allapprentices are expected
to choose a path. Those interested in all comingclasses may choose
"Somatic & Energetic Medicine Path" as that is the
fullapprenticeship.
Sessions
Some
people aren't cashing in on their sessions… soundfamiliar? Well, this
is just a friendly reminder that in order to receive thebenefit of the
2 free sessions (apprentices only) you must schedule themthrough indigo.
Jade
will be offering one free herbal consult per season toall apprentices.
Jade will sit down with you; discuss your health and wellnessconcerns
and then design a formula specific for you. From there, you can
haveyour formula filled at Goldthread Herbal Apothecary. The
consultation is freeand the herbs are affordable. So, don't miss out on
this opportunity.
…back to you Seemore…
Ok,
well thanks y'all, check out the updated information onthe webpage for
sure! Download the new class catalog as it has fulldescriptions of
everything Stephen is talking about.
LAST CLASS OF THE YEAR!!!
MEDICAL MASSAGE for the internal organs
DECEMBER 8th & 9th
Discount if payment in full by December 5th
Hey Dan,
Thanks for the research. I don't know this guy's work at all. I
watched the lymph technique, can't say fore sure but it is different
from what I learned. I'll keep watching. Nice video though. Anyone got
a cam? Wanna help me make videos for correspondence and study guides?

Workshop postponed:
The Electric Body: Organ Systems East & West
I am postponing this workshop. I apologize for the inconvenience. A
lot of people who realy wanted to take this workshop couldn't make it
due to my mistake of scheduling it on thanksgiving weekend.
I don't know the date I will reschedule it for at this exact moment.
So sorry for the mishap! The good news is that out of an entire year
of classes (the first year Pangaea has been in New England) this is
only the second workshop to be postponed.
Be Well, happy holy days, eat your veggies, etc.
Stephen
dearest pinheads:
While recovering from the flu I immediately succumbed
to following our workshop last weekend, I came across
an interesting website on medical massage. Go to
www.medicalmassage-edu.com and check out clips from a
12 volume "DVD encyclopedia" on the subject (with many
lengthier clips available for free viewing on
youtube.com). Of particular interest to me was the
material on lymphatic drainage. If you check out DVD
#5 there is a quick clip covering the "pumping"
technique for opening lynphatic ducts that I know some
of us were curious about from the previous workshop.
Stephen, are you familiar with this guy? I like his
philosophies and teaching style but personally, I
wouldn't know good technique from bad technique. If
this guy's info and methods are solid and these DVDs
were a good reference, I could see maybe investing in
one or more of them some day. Any thoughts or
opinions on this guy, or any other video massage
reference materials, would be welcome (on or off the
Pinh list).

Be a better sports nut! Let your teams follow you

http://mobile.yahoo.com/sports;_ylt=At9_qDKvtAbMuh1G1SQtBI7ntAcJ
First off, I want to say, you are doing a kickass job! And
that I honestly, and completely appreciate your efforts in making Pangaea
possible for yet another month of workshops.
You may hear me speak in terms of month to month, and that
may bring up questions in your mind. Let me clarify. I have been soul(y)
running Pangaea in one form or another for several years now. It started way
back when when I only taught and
practiced reiki. As I have grown and studied other modalities, I have added
them in. When I was in Austin,
Pangaea was a part time gig, I only taught once – twice a week, and the hours
where much more like the ongoing classes we have now. That was then…
Now that I am here in the valley, I am taking this opportunity
to truly manifest what I believe in. As all regions have an energetic
archetype, I believe the valley is all about manifesting what we truly believe
in. so, that is what I am doing. This is the full moon vibration of bringing things
into fullness and fruition. As we do this (yeah, I said we) we must work
together to smother out the knots in the muscle tissues of Pangaea.
I speak in terms of month to month, because each month
Pangaea evolves a little bit more. No two months are the same (thank god) and
as problems arise they are quickly dealt with. This is an evolutionary process.
How Pangaea is today is not how it will be in 6 months. So let us create what
we wish to see in 6 months today!
One of the biggest challenges in any organization is
communication. Clear delivery! Clear reception! In the past month, having a
small army of us together has been really helping me understand where I can
improve on this.
So I have put together some RAP Sheets. Not familiar with
the term Rap sheet? Well, basically it is usually a one page description of a
project, job title, etc. Raps are for self motivated, creative individuals
(like yourselves) to provide a skeleton of a framework so that you can spend
your creative juices on more important pieces of the projects you are working
on. You will find them in the documents section of the yahoo group. I would
like them to be read ASAP. Preferably within the next 24-48 hours.
Rap sheets are living documents. That means they are always
evolving and feedback is appreciated. I want you to be happy with your job and
with your training. I want you to feel both that you have given enough and
received enough.
If I may digress for a moment… Usui Sensei, founder of reiki
believed not only that there must be compensation for training, but that it
must be equal. That both the teacher and the student must feel they have given
an adequate amount for their training. By giving an adequate amount, we value
our training. By working for something we are more likely to utilize it to its
fullest extent. That being said… I want you to believe in your contribution to
Pangaea and honor your work here.
So, I have uploaded some RAP SHEETS which should help
clarify any place where I may have been aloof, vague, unclear, or you just
forgot what was said. These duties as described are to be followed until they
are changed. That means that I am totally open to feedback and input. But until
the rap sheet is changed, you will want to go ahead and do at least what is
described and any additional work is always appreciated. I just want to be very
clear on this… I want your feedback. I need your feedback. But as time is
always ticking away, go ahead and do it as described or better and then we can
adjust things later.
Now I would like to take a moment to thank you individually…
In alphabetical order
as to not play favorites.
Dan – thank you for firing away at the flyers. I have heard
rumor of there presence at various places around town. I haven't seen them
myself, but I haven't been out much. So thank you. Keep up the good work! I
hear Amherst needs a smack down.
Jade – thank you so much! Your flyering job has been most
impressive. I aint seen flyring like that since the 60s.
Jenn – thank you for calling everyone. I hope they have all
gotten back to you by now, and are all going to be in every class every day.
but… that's their work. Yours is being that friendly receptive voice on the
other end. Calling people, being a human voice, informing them without selling
anything – that is awesome! Thank you.
Maddie – what can I say? That flyer is kick ass! I really
enjoy the down home style, sort of radical-rebellious meets training… just what
I like to see :) On those regards, I have a few more projects for you. So call
me and I'll call you, one of us will get the other.
Selena – I am really excited you are taking over exploring
reiki. Your talents as a teacher will be best used teaching people their highest
state, meditation. I look forward to working with you on the sacred secrete
super hero project. Shh…
One last thing | then I will leave you be
Absolutely need from everybody a list of flyering routes
both what you have done and what you plan on doing, ideas for places, etc. I
need this list so I can share it with everyone else. No secrete lists or what
ever. We need a team effort, ok? We can divide up cities if you like, territories
within cities, etc. but I need to know where these puppies are going. In the
mean time though, be patient, keep flyering, if there is a flyer already there
how is it? Does it need updating, are tabs pulled? Is it buried under a stupid
cell phone flyer or is it up front and personal? Adjust, rethink, enjoy.

CLASS TIMES / DATES /ETC
So,
we had to change some class dates and times in the newFALL – WINTER
schedule. So make sure you check on your class dates if you wantto not
show up on the wrong day, or to the wrong class.
"Um,sternocleadomastoid? Is that a new knitting stitch?"
Basically,
the weekend workshops have realigned themselvesin a more logical
fashion. There will now be less confusion (hopefully) overwhat class is
when. There WILL BE A CLASS on the second and last weekend ofeach
month, holidays excluded. This will be consistent throughout the fall
andspring (for the most part).
The
ongoing classes (meditation, reiki, and biz) are goingto consolidate.
They are now going to be in one month series format. So youwill sign up
for a month of Exploring Reiki, a Month of Business of Healing, ora
month of oinaeotonaEOihth, etc. These dates have not been posted as of
yet soyou will have to check back with the schedule on that one.
ANATOMY STUDY GROUPS
These
are going to be held outside the walls of Indigo. Wewill be going over
the meat and potatoes stuff, but feel free to bring your
esotericquestions as well. These study groups are open to anyone
regardless ofbackground. They will require homework on your part, a
text book, andcommitment. It is looking like we will cover a system a
month, meeting once aweek, over tea. The text book will be The Anatomy
Coloring Book and studentsneed to find there own means of acquiring
this. I can't speak for Indigo but Iwould guess they would be delighted
to order some books for us as long as weknow how many to order in
advance. If not we can make a bulk order online.Studygroups will be
held at my house (on a trial bases) and will be aconsistent weekday and
time.
So… now is the time to register for the studygroups!
THAT's IT! That's all Igot, all she wrote, signing off, over and out!
s'up y'all?
I'm going to go on another flyer run in the next
couple days. If there are any new flyers for upcoming
classes, please get me the designs as soon as possible
so I can get 'em out there. At the moment, the only
flyers I have for PINH is for the ongoing business
class.
I need to know of good flyering spots in greenfield
and amherst areas. Northampton, florence and
easthampton I think I have covered but if people had
suggestions for those towns please send them along
anyway. If you know of a good bulletin board spot
that I may have missed I will be sure to hit next time
around.
thanks a bunch.
pieceout,
-Daniel
