This group is for Australians or their carers or families with a Primary Immune Deficiency although we welcome input from those in other countries. As PID is generally rare in the scheme of things sufferers or their doctors may not know anyone else with a PID in their town or hospital. This is a place to get together and share information and support.
There are more than 80 or so variations of this disease, eg; {Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), Selective IgA deficiency, Hypogammaglobulinemia, IgG subclass deficiencies, Functional Antibody Deficiencies, Combined Immune Deficiency, Severe Combined Immune Deficiency, X-Linked Agammaglobulinemia (Bruton's), Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, DiGeorge Syndrome, Hyper-IgM (CD40 Ligand Deficiency), and Ataxia Telangectasia.
