Hi Carolina,
I was on coumadin immediately after the stroke, but I didn't tolerate that well, and was switched over to aspirin. I took 325 mg of aspirin daily prior to the surgery and for the first six months after. At my six month checkup they switched me to a baby aspirin. I have not at any point in this process been on Plavix. I'm thinking of going to see a new cardiologist, as I had to move out of state right around my six month checkup. I figure it is best to get established with someone new while things are going well.

Hi Carolina,
I had the same result at my six month follow up (about
1 year ago). I was told it was not uncommon and that
in all likelihood it would close with time. I still
have not been back for a follow up, as I was told I
did not need to come back for 3 years. I am still
taking a baby aspirin daily, but consider that a small
price to pay.
