Re: PFO Closure & Depression

Give me a day to hunt down that medical abstract. It takes your body
3-8 months to re-adjust your body and brain chemistry. Hang in there.
Too much serotonin causes vaso-constriction, so please be careful
which anti-depressant you take. The prozac family of drugs, otherwise
known as the SSRI's, can increase your serotonin and give you more
migraines and migraine auras. My husband has really bad migraines and
he uses Elavil, or Amyltriptaline to treat them, and it works wonders
for his mild depression and his pain.
I have never really had alot of depression, except a day or so before
my period every month :) Sorry I can't help you with more info.
