Please, all of you who are considering surgery, get tested for nickel allergy first.  It' is like the same problem people are having with the cardiac stents, nickel allergies.   I am allergic to the Amplatzer device that is in my heart, and the only way to get it out is open heart.  Go to an allergist and get skin tested first, so you don't get into the same mess that I am.
