Well, it's been a year since my surgery, and I wanted to report some complications I've been having.  I had a PFO closure done with an Amplatzer.  I also have Lupus, and it seems that my Lupus has been a little haywire since the surgery, and just won't calm down.  In fact, my Lupus has never been this bad my whole life, and my immunologist thinks it is a response to the surgery and the foriegn device implanted in me. 

I doubt that this would happen to the average person with a healthy, normal immune system, though.
