Re: [PFOSupport] An update

Great to hear from you Vi. You have been on my mind and in my prayers the last few days. I was wondering how you were doing. I relate to the hot bath weakness and the exercise palpitations. I've done some family digging and found out that my fathers two brothers died from a "hole in the heart". One a few days after birth. The other at age 8 or 9 after being unable to even walk his whole short life. I am more convinced than ever that this is my problem too and I know my daughter has PFOS. It was diagnosed at 8 weeks. She also has debilitating migraine. My big problem will be convincing my Doctor of this but I will mention it to Clair's Pediatrician. He may be willing to consider it for her. I'm printing out all the links for him to read.

Subject: [PFOSupport] An update

Hi,
It's been kind of quiet here lately,  How is everybody?
I have been slowly improving since my closure in July.  My
palpatations are gone now, and I have found that I have more stamina
and energy than I used to.  All of my life, when I would exercise, I
would get tired and nauseated and have heart palps after just a few
minutes of a cardio workout like running, swimming or other aerobic
activities.  I would also get weak and nauseated from hot baths.  It
seems that I have a new sense of stamina or vigor that I have never
had, and in some ways I kind of feel like a 22 year old again.  I am
38.  It's really neat, and I am really surprised now when I start
swimming or running on the treadmill that I don't feel weak,
nauseated, dizzy and have heart palps like I used to when I would
get my heart rate up.  I can take really hot baths too, without
feeling weak and woozy.  All my life I just thought that was how
everybody was. What a surprise this is, you know? So that is one
really positive thing that I have experienced since the closure, as
well as the steady decrease in my migraines and migraine auras.
I just wanted to pipe in and let you all know how it's going.
Love,
Vi
