I went on a trip with CFHI, and although it was a good trip, it
was 100% comprised of students and was really geared toward an educational
experience where students shadowed or observed practicing clinicians. Most of
the students, at that, were pre-med (2 were PA students) and had no clinical or
medical experience. Although this was a great opportunity for students, it
meant that actual clinical work was *extremely* limited. Checking blood
pressure was considered a big clinical opportunity. Again-it was a good
experience, but I would not recommend CFHI for a practicing clinician looking
to actually do some “work”
I’m not sure about the dates, but peaceworkmedical.com often
does short trips and is PA run
