Description
Welcome to OzBrainTumour, a community of support for Australians dealing with brain tumour. We also have members in other places, in NZ, Asia, etc.
We have all had to start from zero learning about this. Have no fear of asking questions or expressing feelings. There are no wrong questions.
Try to give a clear 'subject line' to any message, to attract answers that meet your immediate concerns. 'Hi, I'm Jane' is better than 'Introduction'. Sometimes several people will introduce themselves on one day.
At the outset you may want 'anything'... As you refine questions in your mind, separate them in emails. LONG EMAILS ARE FINE - best to express yourself clearly to be best understood!
The answers? — these will come from people who share your experience in some way, but do exercise your judgement about their relevance to you.

[2] OzBTcarerplace, established in 2002. A discussion forum for carers and former carers for mutual support. [see the link below]
[3] A major achievement since 2003 has been the development and recognition of an advocacy and educational organisation - Brain Tumour Australia [BTA].
For information about BTA, go to http://bta.org.au/ ... where you will
also find a freecall 1800 phone number.
[4] In 2005, another forum was set up by some of our members:
focussed on treatment decisions alone — to push hard against the boundaries of conventional treatment.
