Otherkin Reiki is an offshoot of Usui and other traditional forms of Reiki. Developed by the Otherkin community, in conjunction with other mages and energy workers, this non-traditional Reiki is innovative and encourages creativity and exploration over rote learning and "purity" of teaching and lineage. This particular forum welcomes people who are willing to explore and stretch the boundaries of Reiki, to question all the "traditional Reiki" rules, and to share new techniques and ideas with one another. While being a Reiki Master is not a requirement for being on the list, this list is not created for the purposes of directly teaching basic Reiki techniques. There are many valid forums for doing that, one purpose of this list is for people to work on creating some techniques and manuals for teaching basic Otherkin Reiki in a collaborative effort.
