Subject: [Orlando H Singles] Thinking of having hosting a party

Hi, I have been involved in the Tampa Group for about a year and moved to
the Orlando area about 3 mo. ago and just bought a place in the Sanford/Lake
Mary area. I went to one of your house parties a while back and am thinking of
hosting one myself around the 5th of December for both the Tampa and Orlando
groups. I'm not sure how to best start getting the word out other than a post
like this, lol Can anyone tell me how to get an invite out and maybe post it on
a calendar? Thanks, Scott

Have had good luck taking 500 mlg of Valtrex just 3 times a week, I haven't
compared the price but my prescription is for 1000 mlg pills, so I just bought a
pill cutter and cut them in half.

Subject: [Orlando H Singles] Getting off suppressive therapy and nervous about
it
I broke up with a girlfriend who doesn't have H. For over 6 months, I have been
on suppressive therapy to protect her. My stressors were high at the time. I've
been stressed out for a while, but the outbreaks were becoming more prevalent so
I decided to try suppressive therapy.
My current insurance will be changed at the end of the year anyway. So now I'm
going to stop taking the pills. I dont' know what to expect. I am still stressed
out.
Just wanted to get any opinions or stories of anyone with luck limiting their
outbreaks or alternative medicine trial and errors. ANy pros/cons of suppressive
therapy? Other than forgetting to take a pill. Weirdest thing is that often, at
night, i swear i notice the area that I get the outbreak. I'll almost feel
something that reminds me to take the pill. ow much of this is mental? Insurance
won't cover the 1 pill/day, onyl the 2 pill/day prescription. God damn health
care.....
Thanks for any advice

I have been taking Acyclovir 200MG twice a day for 25 years. I also have a good
Martini and a glass of wine almost daily and on some occasions a couple of extra
drinks if I am out and about. I have an annual checkup with extensive blood
work and have no problems. Good luok. Best Regards, Art

And so the countdown begins - 9 days left to the event! There's just a
little more business left to deal with, then we can all get on to the
business of having a great time, with friends old and new! Please read
the whole post - it's got important info you'll want to know!
BANQUET SEATING LIMITS
---------------------------------------------------------
There are only a dozen seats left for the banquet.
If we don't totally fill up beforehand, the catering deadline is this
Wednesday, October 28, when we have to give the hotel the final
headcount. After that, the only way you can join the banquet is if
someone tells us they can't come after all.
REFUND REQUEST DEADLINE
---------------------------------------------------------
If you paid the fee, but can't come after all, you must let us know
before 11:59 PST Wednesday, October 28. If you meet the deadline, we
can refund your fee.
After that, the only way to get a refund is if there are folks on the
waitlist, waiting to get a seat.
PARTIAL FEES & WALK-IN FEES
---------------------------------------------------------
There are *no* partial fees for the event, and *no* partial fee refunds
will be given.
However, several activities are free to attend. These *don't* include
any of the evening parties in the ballroom, the Saturday morning panel,
or any of the meals. However, anything *not* listed in red on the
weekend schedule is open to attend without the fee, and you'll still
have to register to participate.
Please note: you can't change your mind and decide to pay the fee, once
you get to the event. The banquet head count will be locked by then.
There will be *no* walk-in payments accepted at the event itself.
Trust that here's a history behind these policies. Thank you in advance
for complying!
EVENT HOTEL, ROOMMATES & RIDESHARES
---------------------------------------------------------
URGENT: The official Event Hotel is just about completely full.
PLEASE don't hold on to a hotel room if you're not coming to the event.
Give up your room, so it can be used by someone who will be attending!
Waited to late to book? Check the Guestbook. Folks are advertising for
roomies there, and they've posted contact info - get in touch with them
if you still need a room/roommate.
Along with your roommate data, keep your ride info updated on the
Guestbook!
SCREEN NAMES/NICKNAMES
---------------------------------------------------------
Please write and give us a screen name or nickname, if you didn't give
us one at the online registration! You can use the prefix of your email
address, or some kind of cool, unique nickname. This will be on your
wristband at the event, so we don't have to use your actual name or
email address without your permission.
No worries - you can still put whatever you want on your nametags!
COSTUMES
---------------------------------------------------------
The theme is just an excuse to have a costume party. Wear whatever you
want!
Of course, if you want to win the costume contest, be aware that the
judges might consider whether you matched the theme pretty well.
VARIETY SHOW/OPEN MIC
---------------------------------------------------------
Are ya thinking about performing, or getting a group together to
perform, at the Saturday afternoon Variety Show/Open Mic by the pool?
Let us know when you know. There will also be sign-ups at the event.
Start planning now!
VOLUNTEERS
---------------------------------------------------------
Among other things, we could still use a couple of folks to help set-up
and clean-up of the Friday and Saturday lunches, Let us know if you'd
like to volunteer, and we'll give you a job, as well as our undying
gratitude!
REMIND ME - WHAT'S ST. PETE 2009?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The St. Pete National Beach Event is a big annual gathering for the H
community, that is generally attended by between 200-300 people each
year. Like all the national H events, it's more fun than a hot air
balloon!
Once again, it will be held Thursday-Sunday of the first weekend in
November in its usual location: gorgeous St. Petersburg Beach, Florida.
SEE YOU IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK!
