The DFW Friends social group is hosting the 2009 Friends Over Texas event May 14
– 17, 2009!! You can check out all the details at www.dfwfriends.com. We're
staying at the beautiful Embassy Suites Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. The hotel is
just a couple of miles north of DFW Airport and provides a complimentary shuttle
to and from the airport. The hotel also provides a complimentary cooked to
order breakfast each morning and a 2 hour happy hour each evening. All rooms
are suites so if you want to split the cost you'll have plenty of room for
roommates! The hotel is attached to the Bass Pro Shop and across the parking
lot from the Grapevine Mills Mall. We've got lots of fun activities planned
starting on Thursday evening and building through the weekend to Saturday nights
Texas-sized dinner and dance! All the event details can be found on our
website. Please sign the guestbook so others will know you are coming! If you
have any questions, please feel free to email me at laura@... or
contact one of the other event coordinators listed on the website. Hope to see
y'all in May!
Sorry I couldn't make it to bowling last night, I hope it was a good turn out
and I very much appreciate you guys organizing these events! Maybe I'll catch ya
next time!

Thanks. The cat is pretty much out of the bag...blah. He's in a steady
relationship and was boasting how he didn't have it. It just made me feel
awful..

First of all,,,it's none of his business... I don;t tell anyone unless they
become the 1.... Who knows what motive someone might have to threaten you/us
with that type of personal knowledge.
If your boss already knows... the cats out of the bag... you might offer him
advice on what not to talk about or say to others that he is not personally
involved with... as it can be offensive and hurt other peoples feelings.
Then again, he just might have been testing the waters to see who out there
has it cause he does too.
You/We are normal people....so be NORMAL!

He then called after I left and asked me what he could do to make it better.
I told him that what he said was hurtful and mean and none of that was his

I drove off to New Smyrna and tried to relax. I came home last night still

Tell him he is an Asshole. H is n ot that big of a deal. 20 plus years proves
it. My life has been good and is good. Don't let him get you down. I can think
of a lot of things worse - like being like he is. Maybe he is just stupid, or
trying to get you in the sack. Most likely he has the bug too. Happy Days,

We would like to thank everyone that came out to the Chicago event
this last weekend!! We literally had people show up from California,
New York, Florida, New Jersey...and everywhere in between!! Pat
(parch) did an awesome job in lining up the hotel for us!! My
god.......$105 per night in downtown Chicago?? AMAZING!!! The hotel
was absolutely great, and the staff very accommodating! In speaking
with the hotel manager, he is excited to have us back again, and
promises to line up a masseuse for next year to take care of your
aches and pains! If you were happy with this hotel, please visit
tripadvisor.com and post some positive feedback about this hotel.
this will help ensure the great room rate we got, for next year!
It was great to meet some new locals, and also to revisit friendships
with others, including our friends from the Motor City Group in
Detroit!
also........ a special thanks to Charlotte! She is also known
as "cookiequeen", and as such, she shipped her home made cookies to
us, to share with everyone even though she could not be present for
this event. Thanks Charlotte!!!!
Again..........thanks all, and we hope to see even more of you at our
next monthly social!
Your Chicagohclub Team!
Hon, I would go to work with my head up high and tell him you are
sorry he feels the way he does because someday he may get it as 1 in 4
have it already, at least a couple years ago that was what it
was...probably more now. Tell him to come back and let you know how he
feels if he ever gets it, and then you may discuss it with him. I am
heavily tattooed and get snide remarks from people that have no
manners and are ignorant to alot of things in life. It is called
closed minded! So glad I am not one of them....Ann

The event on the 17th sounds like a lot of fun, but as I'm only 20, I won't
be able to make it. Next time, maybe 18+? Pretty please?
