POSTING REMINDER

Hate to start with a downer, but better than ending with one...Please
make sure you know the guidelines of whatever dating site you belong
to, when you spread the word about ANY national event. Some of them
will boot you off for even mentioning the words "event," "social,"
"get-together," "party," "shindig," etc. Be smart and protect
yourselves.


REMIND ME - WHAT'S ST. PETE 2009?

The St. Pete National Beach Event is a big annual gathering for the H
community, that is generally attended by between 200-300 people each
year. Like all the national H events, it's MORE FUN THAN BIKINI/SPEEDO
TWISTER!

Once again, it will be held Thursday-Sunday of the first weekend in
November in its usual location: gorgeous St. Pete Beach, Florida.


BANQUET ROOM LIMITS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Pay your fee now, or risk not getting into the Saturday Night Banquet!
Turns out we have a seating limit, but more registrations now than the
banquet will hold. The banquet is now FIRST PAID FIRST SEATED. Better
send in that fee, folks!


EVENT HOTEL - DON'T LOSE YOUR ROOM!

WARNING: Did you book a room without registering on the event website?
You might lose your room.

A couple of names booked in our event hotel's group rate room block
don't match any of the names in our registration database. Those
reservations will have to be moved out of our block to accommodate
those who DID register for the event. Also, if we don't have a record
in our database of someone associated with us, via our group rate code,
this becomes a security issue.

NOTE: Did you pay your event fee? Book your room! Our group rate room
block is 80% full. No joke.


DANCE PARTIES

What's your favorite dance tune? If you've got an MP3 file to send us
(via Itunes or some such program) let us know. We'll tell you how and
where to send it, and put it on the playlist!


WHO'S COMING TO ST. PETE 2009?

Worried that there'll be too many guys and not enough gals? Too many
gals and not enough guys? Registrations are just about dead even. Yep.


GUESTBOOK

Still need a good reason to attend? Check the guestbook and see what
folks are saying! Use the guestbook to find roommates, rides, talk
about how excited you are to be on the beach in November!


VARIETY SHOW / OPEN MIC
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Can take more acts! Get your homies together and put on a hip-hop
routine to some Black-Eyed Peas, do some stand-up comedy, read your
poetry, bring a karaoke disk. You can also sign up at Sign-In that
weekend.


COSTUMES
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Still confused about costumes? They're OPTIONAL. Which of course means
that if you're planning to wear a costume, ANYTHING GOES! But just
remember - the judges might consider how closely you've matched the
theme.

GUYS: there are lots of photos on the website of men in costume who
match the theme, so...Still confused? Write us!


GET INVOLVED - VOLUNTEER!

Want to volunteer an hour or two of your time to help with set up/clean
up/running of activities, take a group to dinner, lead a group outing,
perform at the variety show, bounce gate-crashers, etc.? Let us know!
There'll be sign-ups to help at specific activities when you sign in at
St. Pete!
