ST. PETE 2009 : END OF JULY UPDATE/CHANGES

Yo, y'all! Hope your summer has been no less than amazing.

This message (posted 7/31) contains a couple of important announcements
and changes:


IMPORTANT ALERT! WALK-IN (PAY-AT-THE-DOOR) FEE HAS CHANGED

Pay-at-the-door price WILL NOT INCLUDE THE BANQUET MEAL. The caterer
wants a head count long before the event! If you want to eat with us at
the Saturday night Beach Carnival Banquet, we need the full event fee
by October 1. If you wait to pay at the door, you won't get into the
Banquet unless someone cancels.

Trust me, you'll be sorry if you miss the Banquet meal. It's always
DELICIOUS. (Menu available on the weekend schedule online.)


EARLY BIRD DEADLINE

Saturday, August 1 - 12 midnight PST
After that, the event fee goes up $5


EVENT FEE PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If you registered at the St. Pete 2009 website, your Event Fee invoice
with payment instructions was emailed to you within 24 hours. If you
registered your work address and you didn't get the invoice, you might
have a firewall that prevents Paypal from getting through. Also, if
you're using AOL, you might have issues. (Switch to Firefox - really!)

Please write us if you didn't get your invoice, and we'll help you
troubleshoot!


REMIND ME - WHAT'S ST. PETE 2009?

The St. Pete National Beach Event is a big annual gathering for the H
community, that is generally attended by between 200-300 people each
year. Like all the national H events, it's more fun than a toboggan on
a steep, snowy hill!

This year, it will be held Thursday-Sunday of the first weekend in
November in its usual location: gorgeous St. Petersburg Beach, Florida.


SUCCESS STORIES PANEL/DISCUSSION
--------------------------------------------------------------------
We've got a special panel/discussion planned for Saturday morning,
featuring 3 couples in successful relationships, who have met each
other at H events. They'll share their experiences and ask you to share
your experiences as well. It's a chance to have a meaningful
conversation with each other about living and loving in our community.

Bring a Burning Question to ask at the discussion!


GET INVOLVED - VOLUNTEER!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Want to volunteer an hour or two of your time to help with set up/clean
up/running of activities, take a group to dinner, lead a group outing,
perform at the variety show, bounce gate-crashers, etc.? Let us know!
There'll be sign-ups to help at specific activities when you sign in at
St. Pete!
