My Name is Danielle, I am 30 years old. I have been married almost 3 yrs to
my Husband Jeff. We currently reside in Costa Mesa, CA. I have been
overweight my whole life. I am trying to change that, I have lost 70 lbs, so
far but I still have a ways to go. I started my weight loss journey at 298.
We have been trying for the last year to conceive with no luck. Hoping the
weight is not the issue. We are still going to try that while we have been
looking into adoption. We decided long before we started trying for a baby
that adoption is one way we wanted to add to our family. We thought we would
try to adopt first. We went to our county adoption orientation last night.
We are starting the process so I was hoping I would find insight on our up
and coming journey on here.

Welcome Danielle. Congrats on the weight loss! 70 pounds is a huge loss. Way to go. I doubt that your weight is your only hurdle to getting pregnant. Many fat women get pregnant with no problems. I weighed about 260 when I easily conceived my son Ryan who is now 6. That was the only easy part of the pregnancy. The whole thing was a nightmare that ended with a preemie baby and me almost dying. So we decided to adopt our second child. Our baby girl was born in Guatemala on Nov. 19, 2006. We went to visit her last month and she should be home forever in May or June. I hope your adoption journey is a good one. A baby is always a blessing no matter how it enters your life.
