This List is for those interested in discussing Lonny Jarrett's teachings and texts, "Nourishing Destiny: The Inner tradition of Chinese Medicine" and "The Clinical practice of Chinese Medicine." General comments are welcome as well as specific questions regarding points made in the texts or in classes. This group is moderated by Lonny Jarrett to avoid noise. All usefull input will be posted.
The intention of this group is to provide a forum for thoughtful and respectful discussion of any facet of Chinese medicine. There are some fundamental basic assumptions that are foundational in the teaching being given here. These are:

1. The world is not flat.
2. Human beings are capable of discernment.
3. Discernment is good.
4. Consciousness is both the origen and the goal of the "universe project" we are all a part of.
5. Human beings are the most highly evolved viehicals for consciousness as far as we know.
6. Language is one of the highest expressions of consciousness and, therefore should not be used casually .
7. Language can not only transmit, but can create, reality.
8. Evolution, vertical development, is the nature of healing in its deepest and highest sense.
9. The vertical development of the practitioner is the most significant limiting factor in a patient's healing.
10. For the post modern human, healing means awakening to conscience.
11. Conscience is good.
12. Life is positive.
13. From an absolute perspective, relativism is illusion.
14. If a person is truly interested in finding out what is new he or she has to drop what is already known.
