Deep Tissue Head/Neck

3 part series 9/24, 9/26,10/1

Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the
deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic
patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger
pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across
the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension
through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction
applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep
tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue.


MLD Basic

9/26-9/30

MLD is a precise technique designed to accelerate the normal
functioning of the lymphatic system. Therapeutic application of MLD
cleanses the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins,
and enhances the immune system. This course of study will cover the
history, principles and theory of the highly regarded Vodder system
of manual lymph drainage. Students will learn of the four basic
techniques of manual lymph drainage and how to apply them to the
whole body as a treatment to help clear the lymphatic pathways.
