The pain and dysfunction of a frozen shoulder condition is no laughing matter. Clients who develop this problem often find themselves unable to work at the level they need or to enjoy the activities of daily living. Yet, you can improve many frozen shoulder conditions by using well-informed massage therapy. This workshop will give you the deep tissue massage techniques you need – trigger point release and myofascial therapy – to know how to work the right muscles and help relieve the pain and limitation of a frozen shoulder condition. You will also learn some of the causes of frozen shoulder. |
Advanced Pathology series

As an introduction to the theories and mechanisms of disease, this course focuses on the pathological conditions most likely to be encountered in a massage therapy practice. Special attention will be given to precautions, contraindications and indications for massage sessions when working with massage clients exhibiting specific conditions. When and how it is appropriate to refer clients to other health care practitioners will be included.
