Students review the Anatomy covered in Basic then guided through additional focus on muscles relating to the area being introduced during each phase of continued study. The course will also cover an in-depth study of Systems Anatomy, whereby students are taught about the Nervous, Cardiac, Respiratory, Digestive, Circulatory, Skeletal, Integumentary, Muscular, Endocrine, Excretory and Reproductive System.

Advanced Pathology series
4 hrs/Class
$50
As an introduction to the theories and mechanisms of disease, this course focuses on the pathological conditions most likely to be encountered in a massage therapy practice. Special attention will be given to precautions, contraindications and indications for massage sessions when working with massage clients exhibiting specific conditions. When and how it is appropriate to refer clients to other health care practitioners will be included

C Young Instructor. The instructor will use lecture, illustrative hand-outs, demonstration and supervised practical application of massage techniques. With these aids, the instructor will convey an in-depth understanding of neck and shoulder anatomy and teach massage approaches to particular muscles involved in classic neck and shoulder pain. |
