Deep Tissue series

Greg May Instructor. This course of classes includes deep muscle procedures. Posture, indications and contraindications will be discussed, as well as the superficial and deep musculature of the head and neck. Students will emerge with a working knowledge of the structure and function of specific body part.  

Advanced PAK series Continues

Students review the Anatomy covered in Basic then guided through additional focus on muscles relating to the area being introduced during each phase of continued study.  The course will also cover an in-depth study of Systems Anatomy, whereby students are taught about the Nervous, Cardiac, Respiratory, Digestive, Circulatory, Skeletal, Integumentary, Muscular, Endocrine, Excretory and Reproductive System.  

As an introduction to the theories and mechanisms of disease, this course focuses on the pathological conditions most likely to be encountered in a massage therapy practice. Special attention will be given to precautions, contraindications and indications for massage sessions when working with massage clients exhibiting specific conditions. When and how it is appropriate to refer clients to other health care practitioners will be included
