I like to start by saying that Noni is good for you no matter where
God allows it to grow. This war between Tahitian Noni and Hawaiian
Noni is a waste of time. If it's grown right it's all good. The
problem is that TNI overcharges for the juice, I know I use to be a
distributor and I bought into the hype. Doing my own research and I
know the TNI is leasing land that has the noni that grows wild in
TAHITI so it doesn't cost them anything to grow it, but the cost to
us is very high. There are a lot a companies that sell NONI some are
not very good quality and some are; you just have to do your
homework about the company you purchase from. The juice cost pennies
to make, what cost a lot is the marketing and the expensive bottle
TNI uses to sale this product. I realize the truth and so did my
customers. I lost every customer who bought from me. The only reason
Robert Dean is so rich is because we buy the expensive juice. I'm
not hating on him, but the truth is the truth. It shouldn't cost so
much to stay healthy.
I found a new juice that is affordable, you get more for your money
and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do business. The name of the
juice is called GO-GO JUICE. What's so good about the juice that you
get all the major juices out there at the fraction of the cost.
It includes: Mangosteen, True Goji, Hawaiian Noni, Acai Berry,
Pomegranate, Seabuckthorn, Black Chokeberry, Reishi and Shiitake
Mushrooms, Green Tea and White Tea Extracts all in one bottle. The
next great thing is the amount of juice you get for one order. The
bottles come in a 4 fl. oz each and you get 20 bottles. So that is
80 ounces of juice for one low price. That's more than 2 bottles of
TNI noni juice and most of the other juices out there.
The retail cost is $45 and the whole sale price for distributors is
$29.25. To be in the business it doesn't cost over an $100 of
autoship. The least they allow is $45 of autoship. There is no other
company I now of that offers the package this company does. The also
have coffee that can help you loose weight. They sale HOODIA for
less than most companies and many other great products.
You don't have to go with GO-GO JUICE but don't be fooled by over
priced juice.
Check out my website and judge for yourself.

That's right. Tahitian Noni juice is reconstituted after it has been transported
and processed. But most people forget the fact, that other noni is not really
comparable to that from TNI. All other noni is the juice of the fruit. Tahitian
Noni juice is the whole noni fruit processed in a properitary formular. Then it
is up to the customer to choose, what he prefer: the whole fruit or the juice of
the fruit.

Great story if it were true.
In your description of TAHITIAN NONI JUICE, you left out that little word that
appears on every bottle TNI sells. Although it appears in 7 point type, the
word is one TNI would rather not have people think about when they "Tell the
Story" and use the buzz words "proprietary formula", that word,
RECONSITUTED!
That one word tells the informed customer that they are drinking a juice blend
that has distilled water added to bring the Noni puree back to a liquid form
to
be bottled. In addition, for $42 per bottle, I think two words better describe
TNJ
"RIP OFF".

Noni, Grape and Blueberry <Greater than the sum of the Parts>
When John Wadsworth gazed over a noni-filled valley, he was struck with an
impression
that would not only shape his life, but the lives of millions of people across
the world.
Often, however, when the story of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice is told, the teller
glosses over
the chapters following John's impressions. There's a magic there that deserves
to be
noted, and part of that magic is the proprietary formula of the world's most
recognizable
noni product.
Destiny Intervenes
When John returned from Tahiti, he and partner Stephen Story began working to
develop a
juice that could deliver noni's healthy benefits. In order to make this juice
more palatable,
John and Stephen developed a unique flavoring system utilizing grape and
blueberry
juices.
Interestingly enough, the addition of blueberry and grape juices to noni has a
synergistic
effect, making the noni's already plentiful health benefits even more potent and
bio-
available. The incredible destiny of this small, South Pacific fruit is once
again revealed in
another facet of the Tahitian Noni International story. For John and Stephen to
not only be
entrusted with noni, but to also discover a formulation that increases its
benefits is more
than serendipitous.
Powers unto Themselves-Noni
Is it any wonder that the darling of the scientific community is a small fruit
from the South
Pacific? As you delve into the rich history of noni, you discover just how
trusted this plant
was. From leaves to fruit to seeds, this little fruit was a central part of
their culture.
Today, science is discovering the reasons why ancient wisdom touted the noni
fruit as a
gift from the gods that could balance health. Repeated studies' show that the
noni plant is
a rich source of powerful and active antioxidants. But that's not all. The
Morinda citrifolia
plant noni also provides many essential minerals and nutrients. From essential
fatty acids
to elements that benefit the skin, noni possesses what the body needs, whether
you ingest
it or apply it topically. The uses seem limitless. In fact, the potential of
noni is so great
that many laboratories across the world are exploring noni's health related
benefits.
Numerous patents have already been logged utilizing the unique characteristics
of a once-
forgotten plant.
Grape
Study after study has revealed the awesome benefits of grapes. A recent study in
the April
6, 2005, issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, revealed an
interesting
discovery about this simple snack food. The fact that grapes are rich in
antioxidants-
which, coincidentally, are also beneficial to heart health has already been
established, yet
this study revealed that grapes contain 10 previously unidentified flavonoids.
The 10 new
flavonoids outperformed other previously identified flavonoids when used to
inhibit the
enzyme thought to be responsible for the growth of cancerous cells. This
particular
enzyme arranges - or rearranges-the genes in cells responsible for growth and
reproduction. Current studies indicate that when cancer cells begin
proliferating it may be
in part due to problems associated with this enzyme. If the new flavonoids
discovered in
grapes do indeed inhibit this enzyme and thus kill or stop the growth of cancer
cells, you
can see why researchers are so excited.
Grapes also contain a compound called resveratrol, a natural antioxidant that
may have
earned the "Fountain of Youth" title. In a study published in Nature,
researchers reported
that resveratrol found in grapes has been linked to reduced risk of cancer,
atherosclerosis,
heart disease, and age associated diseases like Alzheimer's. According to the
research
group, resveratrol mimics calorie restriction, activating enzymes that slow
aging and
increasing DNA stability, thus extending cell lifespan by as much as 70%.
In addition, grapes also contain a compound called pterostilbene. According to a
report
given by Agnes M. Rimando, PhD, of the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the
228th
National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, pterostilbene may reduce
cholesterol
and triglycerides just as well as prescription drugs, promoting improved
cardiovascular
health.
Blueberries
Blueberries have rightly earned the title of being one of the richest sources of
antioxidants. Blueberry antioxidants help protect against the ravages of aging,
heart
disease, and cancer as well as diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. A
landmark study
published in the June 9, 2004, issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food
Chemistry
showed that just one cup of berries provides all the disease-fighting
antioxidants your
body needs in one day. Of berries-which handily won in a comparison of foods
known to
provide antioxidants-cranberries, blackberries, and blueberries ranked the
highest. "Weare
excited to learn that blueberries, which are already rich in healthy compounds,
may also
be a potent weapon in the battle against obesity and heart disease," reported
Rimando.
Rimando's research indicated that blueberries contain pterostilbene-that's
right, the very
same substance found in grapes. The difference between the two, however, is that
the
blueberry pterostilbene may be even more potent than the grape. The study
further
demonstrated that pterostilbene has cancer-and diabetes-fighting properties.
Blueberries
might also be your best bet for keeping that youthful appear- ance.
"Blueberries,
strawberries, cranberries, and raspberries are all loaded with antioxidants,
which save cells
from premature aging," explains dermatologist Nicholas V. Perricone, MD, a
clinical
professor of medicine at Michigan State University and author of? The Perricone
Prescription and The Wrinkle Cure: Unlock the Power of Cosmeceuticals for
Supple,
Youthful Skin. Finally, blueberries could very well be your brain's best friend.
In a study
found in the Journal of Neuroscience, a diet rich in blueberries reversed some
loss of
balance and coordination, and improved short-term memory in aging rodents.
The Sum of the Whole
One might suspect that coupling noni with grape and blueberry would result in a
concoction where one or the other might overshadow the rest. Rather, the
opposite
occurs. The three fruit juices- of which, noni plays the predominant role-work
together in
synergy. This relationship not only promotes the benefits of noni, but also
magnifies
them. In the case ofT AHITIAN NONI® Juice, the sum of the whole truly is greater
than the
sum of the parts.

The three fruit juices-of which, noni plays the predominant role- work together
in
synergy.
(PRWEB) September 26, 2005 -- Natural Styles™ is the foremost
supplier of 100% pure, 100% natural and 100% organic Noni juice
since 1997. Early on we here at Natural Styles™, recognized the
health benefits that result from supplementing our western diets
with this 'healing fruit.' We have labored diligently at great
sacrifice to provide Noni fruit juice in the same form as consumed
by the ancients of Polynesia. Additionally, we have gone a step
further and have scientifically analyzed the Noni fruit juice to
identify the truth about its' health potential.
Noni or Morinda citrifolia has been used in Polynesia to provide
health benefits for over 1000 years for various ailments. According
to island folklore, tradition and history these effects would appear
more than anecdotal.
Unfortunately the overzealous promotion of such a beneficial fruit
juice coupled with the overstating of available scientific
literature has created some controversy as to the truth about Noni.
Natural Styles™ is known for its forthright presentation of Noni
fruit juice as a dietary supplement that supports good health as a
natural dietary solution/ addition to the western diet. We are
firmly committed to investigating, providing and promoting the truth
about Noni fruit juice.
The truth about Noni fruit juice is that it must be made only from
ripe fruit. Natural Styles™ only uses fruit from the South Pacific
including the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and
Vanuatu. The fruit needs to be harvested when it is yellow to white
in color. Green or immature fruit will not provide the potent
phytochemical constituents that are responsible for supporting good
health. Studies show that the most important phytochemical content
for each respective fruit and or vegetable comes together during the
natural ripening process. And this is true with Noni. Traditionally
juicing is carried out over a 2-4 week period of time using the
traditional gravity press method.
The weight of the fruit, which has been placed into sacks and
allowed to age, is placed into a large 500-gallon container
providing for a natural press. Natural Styles™ has optimized this
procedure through a bladder press method, which delivers an improved
quality of Noni fruit juice as well as providing for the freshest
possible juice. The juice initially obtained is a yellowish-red
color, which ultimately darkens to a mahogany brown color. The juice
is then pasteurized to stabilize polysaccharide content and preserve
the quality of the juice.
The truth about Noni fruit juice is that the longer the juice ages
before pasteurization the more it breaks down via enzymatic
degradation resulting in a lower polysaccharide content. Natural
Styles™ has proven through optimizing this process that the best
Noni fruit juice can be provided in a way that preserves the
tradition of the islands and the potency of the fruit.
The truth about Natural Styles™ is that we are committed to "only
ship good product." We are able to do this through our GMP efforts
and attention to detail.
The truth about Noni fruit juice is that in order to be assured of
optimizing the health benefits of this Polynesian pharmacon it is
important to get the real thing. Natural Styles™ is dedicated to
being the source for not only the real thing but also the truth
about Noni fruit juice.
Enjoy the benefits of 100% Pure USDA Certified Organic Noni Juice.
For thousands of years the people of Polynesia have used the parts
of the Noni (Morinda citrifolia) plant for many health concerns.*

I won't repeat what I wrote or argue. Believe what you want to. Fortunately some
are more accepting about both ways of making noni in this forum. I joined this
forum two years ago to decide what noni I should drink. And my choice of the
Tahitian Noni is is just fine.

In your comment, you mentioned that TNI is blessing the lives of
Polynesians. But when I reviewed the Tahitian Chamber of Commerce
records, Tahitians have only received less than 1 percent of the $2
billion of sales that TNI claims. Whose lives are really being "blessed"?
I cannot see how Morinda's 21 doctors can get up in the morning and
look and look in the mirror and say that adding water and flavors to
noni juice makes it better than pure noni juice.
The orange juice analogy is clear. What would you prefer? Pure
orange juice or reconstituted orange juice? If one doesn't like the
taste of pure noni juice, they should have the choice to add other
juice or flavors to it.
If TNI sold pure noni juice in their bottle they probably have to
charge $200 for it since they have to pay about 50% in commissions to
their distributors.

OK, fine WJ. But you can look at the TNJ form a different viewpoint, that makes
the TNJ look good: Pure juice is fine. But if I buy some orange juice at a store
I prefer also some more of the fruit than just the juice. Maybe I would get some
more vitamins and good stuff from other parts of the fruit. Now I get thursty,
nearly forgot my noni evening drink. Don't we love the taste ;)

I'm not about promoting one brand over the other. I'm interested in looking
pass all the advertizing "glitz" and examining the facts.
Just like the orange juice I buy: I prefer 100% pure, not from concentrate,
instead of the reconstituted that you must add water to bring back to something

If I can get 100% noni, with nothing added, why should I settle for

What ever the company is doing for Polynesia, God bless em! But give me 100%

21 doctors recommending reconstituted, as it seems to me sugar water,

Jorgen;
I'm not about promoting one brand over the other. I'm interested in looking pass
all the advertizing "glitz" and examining the facts.
Just like the orange juice I buy: I prefer 100% pure, not from concentrate,
instead of the reconstituted that you must add water to bring back to something
close to the original.
If I can get 100% noni, with nothing added, why should I settle for
reconstituted, even if it's "patented"?
What ever the company is doing for Polynesia, God bless em! But give me 100%
juice, not reconstituted, freeze-dried or whatever.
Peace.

Let's summarize: We've got the 21 doctors. And now don't forget the UN ICCC

I've been here for one and a half year and I still prefer the whole fruit. Maybe
this forum is made to promote your own noni brand or is there something else to

What's "patented"? The way the juice is reconstitued from the original fruit?
Or is it the amount of "artificial" flavorings and sugar added. Either way the
product is not "pure" with no adulterating agents added.
If TN could actually "patent" the Noni fruit, I'm sure they would try.
Unfortunately, the fruit is GOD's creation, not Tahitian Noni's. So they have to
try to convince everyone that they are the only "true" Noni, just like the
Catholic Church tries to promote itself as the one "true" church.

P.S. I guess you find it hard to believe that TN couldn't put 21 doctors on
their payroll, and pay to be listed in the Physician's Desk Reference book with
the revenues they generated for the last 10 years.

Dear "pedwards05"
It seems to me that your researched on the two websites has been very
selective, in spite you write: "you have researched as best as you
can". In Denmark we once had a prime minister often asking: "Can we
do it a little bit better?" I will recommend you to try. - Unless your
goal with your massage is to tell that 21 doctors recommending TNJ???
For those who using True Noni, and me, together with a h. lot of other
people, who have find no better Noni Juice world wide, than "North
Shore Noni" from Innomark.Inc. A 100% Pure Noni Juice from Hawaii,
really do not need doctors recommending.
We have the courage and maturity to make our own decision!
21 doctors recommending reconstituted, as it seems to me sugar water,
added up with Morinda Citrifolia in a green glass bottle can not
imposing me! - And I am pretty sure I am not alone.

John, thanks for the links you are right, excellent web site for Noni
information. After
reading your posting this morning and the referenced pages, I did a little
experiment on
my own.
Each morning I start the day by making fresh organic apple juice using my "Jack
LaLane"
juicer. It works great and I get to enjoy pure apple juicebefore I start my day.
I had an idea
this morning, what if I also ground up apples in my Cusinart food processor as
the method
used by TAHITIAN NONI's product process described on http://www.trunoni.com/
compare_TruNoni_in_price.htm
I got the apples into a thick puree (minus the seeds) and observed that I needed
to add a
lot of water (reconstitute) to make it into a consistency that I could drink.
Now, I know TNJ uses a proprietary method (more than likely a slick marketing
term) to
make their juice blend, but does anyone know how much water they actually add to
their
one liter bottle?
My co-worker gave me a bottle to try and before I open it, I want to make sure I
am not
wasting my time with a cheap imitation of the real thing.
Thank you in advance,
Sandy

Hi John
That's quite interesting. My impression is more the opposite being here since
october 2003. Many here are even trying to get some customers. And they are
mostly non-TNJ critisizing TNJ or wanting to save people from "the big bad
Tahitian Noni". How can links from www.truenoni.com provide independant or
neutral information when they have a network of dealers themselves. By the way
isn't this newsgroup started by TruNoni ?
I am not really a dealer myself, but I work with information and service for a
team of TNJ distributors. This kind of network marketing is nice and not
aggressive and I find that the distributors are decent people. I prefer the
whole fruit. And what others prefer here is fine.

Jørgen,
I do not think anyone here other than TAHITIAN NONI distributors are trying to
promote a
product. Some people may reference other Noni seller's in the attempt to give
correct
information on Noni and what to look for in making a buying decision.
Your summary amazes me, everything you state is other than looking at the
juice (product)
itself. Your company has deep pockets to buy endorsements from doctors,
athletes, horse
trainers, awards, etc. OK, that is great if you are trying to impress people
to join your
pyramid scheme, but your product is still made from reconstituted Noni (the
whole fruit)
and other fruit concentrates. Your argument defies logic and you come across
as someone
trying to promote his own Noni brand.
I would you suggest you visit the following web pages about the difference
between pure
Noni juice and reconstituted Noni juice. This is the best site I have found to
have
information bases on the juice and not paid off doctors and other reasons to
buy the
inflated price for a juice blend.
TNI compared to pure Noni juice
http://www.trunoni.com/compare_TruNoni_in_price.htm
How to buy Noni
http://www.trunoni.com/noni_buyers_guide.htm
Compare Noni products
http://www.trunoni.com/still_not_sure.htm
This company seems to offer good information and not hide behind an illusion.
Jørgen, ask yourself this, if your 21 doctors endorse a product that is made
from 89% Noni
fruit, what would they say about 100% pure Noni juice if they weren't being
paid by TNI?
I look forward to your response.
John

Jørgen,
I do not think anyone here other than TAHITIAN NONI distributors are trying to
promote a
product. Some people may reference other Noni seller's in the attempt to give
correct
information on Noni and what to look for in making a buying decision.
Your summary amazes me, everything you state is other than looking at the juice
(product)
itself. Your company has deep pockets to buy endorsements from doctors,
athletes, horse
trainers, awards, etc. OK, that is great if you are trying to impress people to
join your
pyramid scheme, but your product is still made from reconstituted Noni (the
whole fruit)
and other fruit concentrates. Your argument defies logic and you come across as
someone
trying to promote his own Noni brand.
I would you suggest you visit the following web pages about the difference
between pure
Noni juice and reconstituted Noni juice. This is the best site I have found to
have
information bases on the juice and not paid off doctors and other reasons to buy
the
inflated price for a juice blend.

How to buy Noni

This company seems to offer good information and not hide behind an illusion.
Jørgen, ask yourself this, if your 21 doctors endorse a product that is made
from 89% Noni
fruit, what would they say about 100% pure Noni juice if they weren't being paid
by TNI?
I look forward to your response.

Unfortunately, the

I think in a way you are right WJ. It depends on how you or others here at the
forum choose to look at anyone or any company. Microsoft for example can be a
blessing or the opposite. I could make Tahitian Noni International look like a
blessing to the world. And I choose to look at things more like that.
Let's summarize: We've got the 21 doctors. And now don't forget the UN ICCC

What's "patented"? The way the juice is reconstitued from the original fruit? Or
is it the amount of "artificial" flavorings and sugar added.
WJ
P.S. I guess you find it hard to believe that TN couldn't put 21 doctors on
their payroll, and pay to be listed in the Physician's Desk Reference book with
the revenues they generated for the last 10 years.

Hello everyone!
I do not usually write in news forums but I must add my own opinion. I first
discovered this Web site or Newsgroup when I was researching Noni Juice. I
was first introduced to Noni from a Tahitian Noni distributor from my
Neighbor. I found the price of $46 to be very expensive so I did a Google
search and found this newsgroup. After reading, several entries I learned
about Tru Noni juice. I found their Web site to be the most informative about
Noni and had a great price.
I bought their Noni and tried it for a month and found it to be superior to
Tahitian Noni juice manly because it is not reconstituted but from 100% Noni
fruit. I don't completely understand how someone can say a reconstituted fruit
blend of Noni can be better than 100 % pure Noni juice, but I am an old lady
who lived through the Nazi occupation of Germany and I know how people
can believe things told to them.
My grandson has since signed up as a Tru Noni distributor and has done very
well for himself. He can sell the Tru Noni product for half the price of
Tahitian
Noni juice and still make a 25% profit.
I would suggest you look a little deeper into the motives of TNI and why they
would charge $42 for a striped down version on Noni juice.

I have bee reading, with great interest, the debate between TrueNoni &
Tahitian Noni. I have visited both websites. I have researched as best
I can. I have two questions:
1)The first thing I see on the Truenoni website is an offer to 'start

Juice. Does TrueNoni have such recomendations?
I started using Noni capsules or juice a year ago. After reading the book
about it, I believed it might be worth a shot, for any number of things. I
have/HAD a bad rotator cup, my left shoulder. I began to notice better movement
after a few months of Noni use, one capsule, twice a day...and now, I am
ALMOST pain free.
I am not a doctor, but my own physician says that I seem to have stumbled on
to something that I should continue to use!

I have a husband with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who got into the
TAHITIAN NONI
business last year. After reading the ingredients on the bottle, I
thought to myself there
has to be a cheaper product on the market that is pure. After doing a
Google search, I
found www.trunoni.com juice from Hawaii. No reconstituted juice or
watered down with
cheaper fruit flavors that I can buy in my local Supermarket.
I immediately notice the difference from the overly sweet juice my
husband was peddling.
Well, he is now out of the business and on to something else, but I
must say the Noni from
Hawaii has been wonderful and I know why the doctor chose Hawaiian
noni
as his source
for the study.

Noni is the Hawaiian word for morinda citrifolia. In Tahiti, it is
known as nono. All the original noni studies were done at the
Hawaii Done Pineapple Research facility by Dr. Heinicke. The only
clinical study done on noni was conducted at the University of
Hawaii's Cancer Research Institute on Oahu, Hawaii.

In fact, I have been using noni for almost four years, and for being a healthy
person while using I can not determine its effictivness toward diseases such as
cancer. However, that does not mean that there are no effects could be felt by
consuming noni by me as a healthi person. there are actually positive effects I
found such as cleaning of the stomach. I used to consume noni almost everyday,
but recently only once a week or every two or even three weeks.

I find it surprising this particular medical Doctor chose to use
Hawaiian Noni in his study
instead of Tahitian noni. The surprise comes from the fact that I
thought all the Doctors
support TAHITIAN NONI juice or at least that is what a TNI
distributor told me.
I am happy to see Hawaiian Noni being used in a creditable medical
study and getting the
positive results.

Noni shows cancer promise
A study by UH researchers explores
the plant's possible pain-relieving
benefits to patients
By Helen Altonn

Cancer Research Center of Hawaii researchers are getting reports
from patients taking noni that they have less pain that interferes
with activities.
"That is exciting to us. It may be reducing the pain people
experience, but we can't say. It's too early for a definitive
conclusion," said Carolyn Gotay about the center's study of the
fruit's medical value.
Dr. Brian Issell, internist, oncologist and clinical sciences
program director at the University of Hawaii cancer center, is
principal investigator of the study, which began in 2001.
The noni plant was used in traditional healing throughout Polynesia
and is being promoted worldwide for all kinds of health problems and
diseases.
"It's a $2 billion product with incredible commercialization,"
Issell said. "We need to know if it helps more than harms people."
His study is the first to look at the effects of noni on people and
see if it does what ads claim.
"We've seen pretty much improvements across the board when we look
statistically, but these are early days," Issell said. "It's not
telling us it's going to help more than harm people, but what dose
we will test in the future."
The team, including Faith Inoshita, clinical research nurse, is
trying to complete the first phase of the study to find the right
dose that will be effective for people, Issell said. Then the
researchers will move to the next phase comparing that dose of noni
a placebo.
Different doses of freeze-dried extract of ripe noni from the Indian
mulberry plant are given to groups of five patients. Participants
have advanced cancer that no other treatment would help.
Capsules are increased gradually from four a day to 24 and the
patients are followed to see the effects.
"We have been seeing increasing improvement in quality of life
measures," Issell said. "It's very interesting. We're getting
improvement at higher dose levels compared to a lower dose."
Dr. Adrian Franke, associate specialist, and Laurie Custer, research
associate, are analyzing the ingredients of noni, as well as blood
and urine samples from patients, to see what chemicals may have anti-
cancer activity.
"We're measuring different markers," Issell said. "Once we have
something we can feel confident about, we will use it to standardize
noni because there are hundreds of different products now from
juice, with additional things to mask the dose."
Noni Maui is providing fruit grown on the Big Island for the study,
which requires a consistent supply, Issell said: "We have quite a
lot of capsules and will continue up to 40 (per day) if we need to."
The first phase of the study began with National Institutes of
Health funding and it is continuing with support from the Hawaii
Community Foundation, Issell said.
He said the issue with cancer drugs is to find the maximum tolerated
dose that's most likely to have an anti-cancer effect.
"Here, we haven't found the maximum-tolerated dose," he said. "We
have to find the optimal quality of life sustaining dose. It's a
complex question."
Patients fill out questionnaires about how they're feeling, how
their pain is, their fatigue and how they function.
Gotay said patients are still tolerating the doses with no side
effects. "We haven't observed any worsening of the quality of life.
In fact, even though these patients tend to have advanced disease,
their quality of life has pretty much maintained steady or gotten
better in some cases."
She said they're looking at the well-being of the patients from many
aspects and "people are holding their own."
The participants "are amazingly committed," Gotay said. "They have
serious conditions and high hopes for treatment and they're very
eager to take their pills. They're very conscientious about it.
They're trying to help us and themselves, too, and future patients.
"It's a long ways from even identifying, say it were to work, why it
works, what are the active ingredients," Gotay said.
Noni is a substance that hasn't followed drug lab development, so it
isn't known exactly what's in it, how it works on the body or what
kind of patients it would make a difference in, she said.
For instance, she asked, "Would it be effective in people with
earlier stage disease? We can't test that in the (present) study."
Issell gets inquiries about noni from all over the world, Gotay
pointed out: "That's partly why we are so cautious. We want to make
sure (of the results)."
Franke and his team is looking at how the ingredients affect
different systems of the body, Gotay said. "There are so many
different possibilities of what might be going on."
He gave different doses of noni to healthy volunteers -- Cancer
Research Center employees -- and drew their blood over an eight-hour
period to see how noni processed in healthy people to compare with
cancer patients.

Im a Noni Distributor and I think that the product works and if you don't then
bring your documentation. Documentation beats conversation everyday. Tahitian
Noni is featured in the 2005 PDR are there any other Noni products listed as
well? No only Tahitian Noni is that enough evidence for you or would you like to
see the Discovery Channel special. I don't know but that's pretty convincing to
me.ThanksKhalil PS: Please unsubscribe this address I tried the way you
mentioned and it did not work.--- On Thu 06/09, jaj7d < j@... >

try again and send from the homepage. In fact I have no apologies and I am more a
happy user than a distributer. I just want to make things short here. I don't
bother defend or explain a list of things that have been expleained before. I
have followed this forum for more than one and a half
year and I still find it interresting. I just believe that the noni I use is the
best. Doesn't everyone here. Sometimes when people compare their own noni to
Tahitian Noni in a way I think is critisizing to promote some kind of noni
product, I like to act. But I don't think any TNI distributor is picking up
customers here. But I have seen salesmen of many other brands getting
contacts.Jørgen--- In NoniNews@yahoogroups.com, "doctor_tommy2000" wrote:>
