Here's a recent letter from a TNI distributor:
I just came from a meeting for Tahiti Noni Juice International to
become a distributor. Its so confusing with everyone claiming to have
the best product. What is the difference between your product and TNI.
Is all noni juice equal.
My response:
Thank you for writing. I was a TNI distributor myself for a few
months in 1996 until I found out that they were selling reconstituted
noni juice (water added to noni pulp, plus added flavors such as
blueberry and grape juice). I calculated that each bottle contained
only about 23% pure noni juice, so I decided I would look for a pure
noni juice product, even if it tasted bitter (I could add my own fruit
juice to sweeten it). I found a company selling it in Tahiti for less
than half the price. Now our company also sells Hawaiian noni (noni
is a Hawaiian word, the word for noni in Tahiti is nono).
Most MLM companies have to increase their price 700% to cover the 50%
payout to distributors, it's just the nature of the business. Since
we have our own farms, processing and bottling plant, we can offer the
lowest price directly to consumers. We have no middleman to pay.
