OK, Mr. Beebe, yes, you are right, it was the patent
application. I over-estimated your intelligence and
commercial awareness obviously. I thought you would
be aware of the importance of the scope of the patent
claim. Clearly you are unaware of such commercial
issues.

Maybe you have, however, heard of the term "patent
pending" ?

If you were curious, you could actually look up (as I
did) and find that the patent has been approved and is
in the process of being formally issued. Again, if
you knew much about such things, you know it dates
back to the filing on April 17, 2001, so the final
date of public announcement of the patent is
unimportant once it is approved.

I know these are basic legal and commercial points,
and probably boring for many readers here, but we have
to educate the always-angry (and nearly
always-ill-informed) Mr. Beebe.
