Natural Medicine: Beneficial or Quackery? - Paul Wilson
Good question. Trouble is we have as many opinions in favor of
natural remedies as are opposed. What to believe?
I'm not an expert, nor a nutritionist nor an MD. I'm just an
aging "patient" who was prescribed many drugs through the years by
doctors. Some expensive drugs have helped me recover from health
problems, others worsened my health.
In some desperation, I have tried numerous natural remedies. I found
some that have worked very well for me. Others did nothing. I soon
became my own "testing lab" for natural remedies.
Here are some of the natural remedies I have tried that have helped
me stay healthy at 76 years of age:
Vitamins: I take multi-vitamins every day. When I fail to take
vitamins, I feel worse.
Noni Juice: I was introduced to noni juice six years ago and have
taken it ever since. Unfortunately, noni tastes terrible and dozens
of suppliers these days sell noni that has been adulterated with
other juices and water to minimize the taste problem. Many such
juice mixes have little real noni juice in them and are much less
effective than 100% pure noni juice. I take only fresh, 100% noni
juice with a small glass of mangosteen juice-tastes great! Since I
started on noni, my arthritis disappeared, my energy soared and my
immune system works better.
Tamanu Oil: A Tahitian introduced me to Tamanu Oil, and I began
using it for serious skin problems. The worst was rosacea or adult
acne that attacked my nose and cheeks. After a week of daily
applications of Tamanu Oil, the rosacea is history. It's also the
best remedy I've ever used for burns, sunburn, and small wounds.
Kukui Nut Oil: Kukui is a natural moisturizer and beneficial for
other skin ailments such as psoriasis and eczema. It's terrific for
dry hands and feet!
Weight Loss: I have tried many diet programs, but nothing worked
until I found and began a program based upon natural herbal
components. I have been on it for a month and have lost 19 pounds.
I'm delighted.
Now, will any of these natural remedies work for you? I have no
idea. Every human is different, and react in different ways to all
remedies.
Editor's Note: Paul Wilson is an avid golfer and tennis player and
has competed and placed in the Huntsman Senior Games for many years.
Tamanu Oil, Nature's Natural Skin Aid
Tamanu Oil is an absolutely unique and highly effective skin-care
aid. It is produced and marketed by Natural Styles.
Tamanu nuts are dried in the sun for approximately two months while
still in their slightly-cracked shells. The nuts are protected from
rain and humidity during the drying process.
When the tamanu nuts reach optimum dryness, they are cold-pressed to
extract the oil. The average ati tree may produce over 200 pounds of
tamanu fruits per year from which the company may extract only about
10 pounds of tamanu oil. The limited production of oil per tree and
the high cost of the extraction and the purification process explain
why the oil is relatively expensive and in limited supply.
In its initial state, tamanu oil contains resins that must be
eliminated through a careful purification process. After that
occurs, the oil is ready for bottling. The Oil is then 100% pure
Tamanu Oil with no additives, added oils or any other adulterating
substances of any kind are in our Tamanu Oil.
Natural Styles processes Tamanu Oil in a state-of-the-art laboratory
in the USA, under careful standards of cleanliness and where
stringent quality control procedures are used.
A number of scientific studies regarding Tamanu Oil have been
published in Europe and the U.S. Tamanu Oil has been used for years
as an essential ingredient in many European-made cosmetics.
Tamanu Oil is available for $18.95 in one-ounce, glass dispenser
bottles. Our price is the most attractive on the market. Natural
Styles produces and sells only pure, unadulterated Tamanu Oil. We do
not blend our Tamanu Oil with any other oils as some do--we insist
upon marketing only pure Tamanu Oil -- the finest anywhere!
Tamanu Oil is to be used topically only and should not be taken
internally.
