Jonathan, I received this information from Michel Guillemet who is a
manufacturer of noni juice in Tahiti and he quotes this from official
French Polynesian Government documents:
quote
Morinda, Inc. put on their bottle under ingredients:
Reconstituted Morinda Citrifolia and natural flavors.
This is not true.
For being reconstituted, the product has to reduced and reput at the same
volume. But they never reduce the product.
The following "Rapport de Mission" of the Tahitian Government responsible
Dr. Charles Garnier explained how Morinda, Inc. makes its juice. [the
following information is translated from the French Polynesian Official
Record. I have the a copy of the original in French if you'd like to read
it...]
Morinda, Inc. takes the puree (pulp and juice), pasturises this puree and
send to the States. In the States Morinda, Inc. adds water, grape
concentrated and blueberry concentrated. From 1 kg. of puree Morinda, Inc.
obtains 2.2 kg. of final juice.
So if you consider that:
- 1 kg. of fruit you can obtain 0.900 kg. of puree and only 0.35 to 0.40
kg. of pure clean juice
- the juice extracted has the active ingredients and the pulp has only fibers
by a simple equation you arrive to this conclusion, Morinda, Inc. got in
its Final Juice:
0.4 X
----- ---- percentage of real Noni Juice
is 18.18%
2.2 100
