On 1 Mar 2007, progressivefreethought (PFT) sprouted into
being. PFT is a forum for lefties--by USA political standards--
who are freethinkers, humanists, agnostics, and atheists. If all
goes according to plan, PFT will a new home for the members
of a marginally active Yahoo group, and for anyone else who
wants to join. (The old group was mainly for people in the
